Frequency of cleans

What do you find is the most popular frequency of clean and what do you offer when canvassing??

Obviously 4 weekly is most beneficial and better financially, but with people's budgets being more and more stretched I just wondered.

Thanks in advance.

I was thinking about this today? To be honest I'd feel more comfortable saying five or six week, but saying this when your starting up will mean you'll need more customers to make the same cash?

If you do four weekly cleans it means that in a calender month you will be cleaning twice. Which would mean paying me twice out of one pay packet? I wouldn't be happy doing this myself.

I started offering 4 and 8 weeks, most went with 8, some did go 4 only to change to 8 a few months later, I now only offer 6 weeks, I find I can sell 6 weeks the same as 8, 4 weeks people often say straight away to soon, 6 though no one bats an eye.

Find it easier for organisation as well everyone on 6 (though I do still have some old on 8)

i offer 4 or 6 weekly. budget conscious types plump for 6 thinking theyre shrewd . if i only offered 6 i absolutely know many would want 12weekly

Doing both 4 and 8 made it a nightmare for me to be honest I ended up with some weeks slow and others bloody full, 6 averages it all out nicely.

I recently switched from monthly/bi-monthly to 5/10 weekly as its far, far easier for me to plan with a rigid schedule (and 4/8 weekly means the 4-weeklies would be done twice in some months which is too much).

I'd say 70% go for 10 weekly so obviously I am going to need more customers for the same amount of cash. Makes sense to have them done less often though as none of the windows are really that dirty after a month.

I can see myself possibly switching everyone to a 6 or 8 weekly next year though, like diwrnach and a few others have done, when I am full and just offer one option, but I'll fill up first and see then.

I would say the majority of my customers are cleaned every 8 weeks with a hand full cleaned every 12 weeks with even fewer cleaned every 4 weeks. I always ask what kind of frequency they are looking for when quoting, but generally recommend every 8 weeks.

I switched from monthly to 6 weeks about 10 years ago

I have one OCD lady who has 3 weekly plus inside (totals £120 No need but she wants it that way )

My round is 4-6 weekly, but I find 5weekly tobe the best balance for keeping people happy, and not being slowed down by unnecessary dirt.

I always used to say five to six weeks and turn up around seven or eight...

these days...Im on text demand only....if you want me....text me...I will be there....

I like this way as I never know where I will end up but....

yep ...you can end up doing a first clean for a normal price....

did one today not been done for a year....but all his windows are blown so he just wanted the spiders shifting...

if customers ask me twice....I do them religiously every month....WHAT EVER THE WEATHER.../emoticons/biggrin.png

When I was working for a company bk in England we did 2, 4 and 8 weekly...the guy was useless though and on some days we ust to turn up after 11 or 12 days to do the 2 weeklys..I ust to get embarrassed cleaning them

Vast majority are six weekly, a couple do every other clean...one told me six weekly wasn't enough and insisted on four weekly...she phones me if I get a few days behind but she always gives me a five pound tip so I'll forgive her.
