With the sale of extreme poles on at the mo I am guessing we may see a new range.
Can you imagine an extreme pole which can clamp anywhere but be the same weight?
I for one prefer clamping top/middle/bottom. Makes for a very quick pole and grit/dirt is not a real issue.
The metal collars are an excellent idea. Slowed down the wear no end. My fear is the wear has been slowed down too much tho.
I have a 5 month extreme pole. Used daily. Looks brand new still!!!!
