I'm laffingWould they not make the switch to wfp??
prior to finding me theyd had a go with wfp but it didnt work out and then they got bitter about it. the whole area is old wooden frames and lots of dirt from constant traffic in the crevices could be thats why it did not work View attachment 5431

I was talking about jake. He said he's quick, gets there does it & goes so how does he know there spotless.
And I think yer right about bees lol
As said, in the summer it drys very fast, also people would complain if spots were left, as its really obvious when it does, but that's never happened

@boarcity

I'd do them boar, I'd happily tell them if they aren't happy with wfp, then I'd get them done trad,

But I think with a good clean they'd be converted...

East hill is a busy town Center road, busses galore etc, so like you say, they need a good clean with lots of rinsing

its totally dung wfp tops and trad booto,ms

what do u tell customers ?? yes pure water is better for ur windows but il still use soap on the bottom windows lol

confused windie sysmdrom thats wat that is lol

if wfp use trad for the windows u cant wfp
I never mention method I am going to use for cleaning, the only time it gets talked about is if the customer asks while I am doing them, then I will explain, otherwise it doesn't get mentioned, I don't think most people care "how" they are cleaned, as long as they are.

Traffic films not an issue I do some right on a busy road, what is an issue though is old flaky frames, they can be a real pain in the ass.

Imagine cleaning 15 houses but one is trad. That's what I had. £10 houses taking 10 mins each. One trad house was. 35 mins with getting ladders on and off big van etc.

There is enough work out there to not have to do trad. Trad got me where I am today but I go to work earn to earn £ and I can do that easier with WFP.

Yeah, trad was what I built my round on, and I'm proud of that,

But times have changed,

The doors that were opened with wfp were immense, office blocks, apartment blocks, car show rooms the list goes on, all this wouldn't be possible with trad only,

That's nothing against trad guys, it's just the fact that wfp will and does open up more doors, and therefor, more money, which hey... Is what we all work for...

ahhhhh its ended....wow if you go away for five mins you dont half miss a lot...cant remember who said what but some points I can stick my two penneth in

naughty boys refusing to clean insides....YOU SAY.....I will come back when its raining....text em and see..

I am now altering my window cleaning work or life or webby as some of you know and mainly thanks of course to this great site..

couldnt believe I have only been wfp for 18 months...but still ..

YOU CAN NOT BLOW A DOUBLE GLAZED UNIT FROM OUTSIDE WITH WFP OR....EVEN...A PRESSURE WASHER...

the seals on the units are half an inch thick solid rubber hot bonded to the glass..I KNOW ..because a big panel of mine got broke so tight **** took it out stripped the broken panel off and the rubber and put the panel back...which is a bit dodgy as its nowhere near as strong as a single piece of glass but....you can not blow that seal that way..

The thick seals break due to many many many cycles of thermal movement from the frames and the temprature variance they face...

virtually all my sun facing panels blow to some degree at sometime.

to date only one manufacture takes the gamble of offering a lifetime guarantee..and that is everest...

funny enough ...just last week....a custy was having a panel replace on his conny.....it is in a total south facing heat trap where the garden grows great but....that panel was eight and a half years old and JUST...the inside glass had gone....of course...the manufacture said...some one must have hit it hard...but the guy wasnt the type you get away with that one on.

oh and like many firms.....they brought the wrong panel so after taking it out had to put the old one back for a while...yeh **** up britain...

as for the massdebate I blame channel four and its sexcam diaries oh sorry got mixed up again...oh the mass debate about the way we clean...great fun to read

back to the post I am converting custys but as in all things in life it has to be SLOW...did a long standing one on friday and she nipped out to the shops and I was behind the gates on the drive I COULD have ran finished and gone wfp but in reality she came back and I was still on the fronts..

major benifit of my new 30 metres is the abilty to do the hole front or back in one go but not telling ducks how to suck eggs we all know there is a set way to wfp...

why am I telling you this well....because...I always trad check after wards...and firstly the golden rule ...NEVER CHECK A WFP WINDOW until you have too...ie as in...the last thing before you leave...

I er...well ...think she knew what was coming as last visit she rushed to close the open windows and today I thought oh shes forgot suppose I had better trad....but ..she remembered and so I knew what I was doing..

I only wanted to wfp the front really as ...the front is the prime windows as in...the ones in the ultra bright sun...

any ways getting bored now so must go but on my check I found....

:eek::eek: one major spotting on the front lower bay....and they dont just wipe off and....they dont just go an inch either they go the whole panel..so I cleaned that off but.....its great to just realise ...that you have actually already cleaned the windows...but the main point is...and she is as I told her one of my nuclear families...I calmly explained about my new system and gently asked her if she was worried or anything and explained my horror about the spotting and told her how pure loves to get down and dirty...and as a twinkle appeared in her eyes, I told her the first few cleans are well known to be at risk of this because of years of dirt in the seals...she paid me and let me out but next time...a bit more...

I love them both and NO window cleaner can not have them both.

wow did tolish just faint....some windows can simply not be cleaned safely and properly by other methods...yes I have used trad pole but...its feckin hot that window...any water on the blue path below the ladder goes the tiles you cant touch ...wfp from the ground ssssoooo easy.

but ya see...wfp ...er...it ...breaks a lot....trad doesn't so much...if we were playing football its the same really...one goal one way and one another...

but I will continue to do both and offer either to the custy and keep breaking them in gently..

you should keep your lions in the zoo...yeh some days even the best on the blade me makes a pigs ear...hey when I was younger I SO wanted to go on that federation speed window cleaning game...

as for the detailing daveyboy well its partially a habit and its done before I can even think about it...of course I rarely detail the bottom...

got to go...I know some of you dont understand how I am changing but I have been seeking the key to life and have found it and surprise surprise its mainly drunk via our :ninja: friends...

google kefir and read all about it....live long and prosper folks...it cures all known things...actually for fecks sake I feel great..but then again..it could be waving that feckin heavy banana around and getting a stitch cause Im losing ma water..

its

funny this..I said put it in your mouth ...she retches..so I said its okay its good for you full of protien and vitamins...retch.....she said if it goes in my mouth its getting spat out....:whistle:sure I ve heard that before from my youth..

:cheers:no seriously folks...the kefir crystals came off ebay for three quids...cant get a lot for that....##

place in the bottom of a clear pint pot...

add fresh milk preferably orgasmic milk...sorry couldnt resist..not that I have done that yet..mines just semi skinned...I add a good amount of ginger spice no not her off dem girls..

to the top and cover with a piece of clean bog roll for me but anything but remember...the bacteria NEEDS TO BREATHE but you dont want mr blue bottle in..

any signs of black mold ...DITCH...I have never had any..

drink 24 hours later and re top up leaving some of the crystals behind

you can eat them....and they do multiply ..you can store in the fridge for up to a week the cold stops the fermentation..

do not try adding smoothie as I did it curdled and tasted like baby sick which yes I DID taste when swinging one of em above my head ya little bugger..

I also have and is much easier ...water kefir...three quids of farmer norm..

same thing really just use water..er...pure or filtered or STOOD tap to avoid chlorine which is put in to kill the very thing your trying to make..

if you use pure be careful as the bacteria need the minute mineral traces which pure has removed...so I add some sea salt...

and most of all a good dose of brown sugar.....stirred in...dont worry as the bacteria eat it all as they ferment the brew so you can have it fairly sweet or not the longer you leave it...too long it becomes vinegary but you can still drink it but er...watered down with fruit juice etc..

I wont bore you with my kombucha now but...thats even more fun...

I only tell you this as I :grouphug::h: you all and want to keep the chat going as we share the same fun and pain..

now who has the bottle to neck a full pint like I just did of er sort of well yes you can see the bottom of the pot....cheers and thanks to our foreign friends me loves you all as well all though not so sure there are many left as they are all here now so no longer foreign....kefir...turkish for ...FEEL GOOD.....cant argue with what you feel..thanks again folks..

KEEP POSTING...

oh and er...dont say anything to anyone but I er well ...I cant admit to getting well ..over excited whilst looking at a recent wfp bay window which was so shiny okay I also got excited over the harrier jump jet gr 5 ...oh god I m going all peculiar...dont drink it lads and lasses ...

just remembered.....a special cheapy xmas present to all my special traddy friends esp that boar...soon...but only if your good boys...and girls...but you have to keep it sssssshhhhh:thumbsup:

If you write another post like the last one it will be xmas by the time I've read it

cheapy mentioning cutting 1 layer off a double glazed unit reminded me i did the same, years ago. i was moving out of a property and just days before the move a big crack appeared on the inside of the kitchen window which was double glazed . i knew id be forfeiting my deposit if this was seen so i bought a glass cutter and scribed around the edge. but no matter how i tried it would not break , hmmm what can i do...

so next step was to cut out the glass pane using an angle grinder! success!!!!

few years later a fellah i know bought this same house. when i told him about his single glazed kitchen window he didnt believe me "im double glazed" "oh no ur not..." till he went and looked and then cursed me next time we met !

I hit that same point last year.

It only takes so long (or when you gain a certain amount of customers) to realise how long trad takes in comparison to wfp. Plus the fact that wfp cleans the frames better. Sometimes when I'm doing trad I just feel like I'm pushing dirt into the seals and corners of frames, and I hate it. Lol.

I now wfp everything I can. Customers love it, I love it, everyone's a winner.

Only difficulty is in winter when things are freezing up on oaths etc you have to trad a few here and there, but apart from that it's wfp for me.
