Smashed my brush today the first time i left my pole extended and this happened

A local guy lent me this until my new one arrivesView attachment 5444

Nice to see still nice people about

Left pole extended leaning against gutter on townhouse while i took my jumper off

Slipped sideways

It's a guy i see about a lot

Worked for the same firm years ago when i was subbing so know him to chat :turd: when i see him

He found it funny but also did me a big favour

I am always preaching that you should never leave pole extended without your hands on it and proved myself right lol

Ordered a xline jobbie and a cheap vikan for the fascia type jobs i do to avoid using the same brush

Better get on youtube to check out some tradding videos Dave or else you'll be skint waiting for that new pole to turn up./emoticons/biggrin.png:whistle:

Bayersan fibreglass jobbieWondering if carbon would've shattered
It wouldn't have shattered, only asked as I thought you might have a facelift pole as it looks like mine in the picture! But I suppose they use those resi necks on loads of poles, but just thought I'd ask...

Carbon poles are hard wearing, and they won't break or shatter from falling - worth getting one in the future mate, but not essential...

He's OLD Jake....don't worry mate...hopefully you will be one day....you'll miss WFP when it's all cleaned by laser.
I thought he was young!

Yeah I'll be stuck in the old school in 30 years, when the laser system comes out

Just joking tolish, we love trad as well...

Well maybe not... As much...

I'm in my 30s ffs, just having a bad post comprehension day...I saw an opportunity for a **** take and I took it, even if it was out of context./emoticons/biggrin.png

still some good guys around then...easy done davey boy.....strange things often happen when banana comes out to play...

er some of us....were.out at 7.30 with the ducks....must be quackers...

and on the whole three buildings I did ....the brush head slipped around twice...both on windows which were occupied...never does it when Im on empty buildings...

I was late and rushing and got a stitch.....before everyone arrived....and I was trying to take short cuts....and there is some new grass so I knew I shouldnt run across it but....I was in a rush and it was dark ...oh sod it...and coming back with my barrel some guy was standing in the dark staring at me...oh feck ya ******* always one early bird...

imagine my laughter later when I went to clean it and found a cardboard cut out watching me of a man..... .lovely pair of ducks laughing at me...

lovely wet start...er yep....thats only a one off....back to lazy days tomorrow.../emoticons/biggrin.png

I don't feel such a Muppet now. Last week I rested my pole against the back of my van, then the customer asked me to move my van so I reversed straight over it crushing it. Luckily it was an old n.tec pole I use for conny roofs and not my slx

Amazing how much better the ionic brush is compared to my one that came with the pole

The original brush looks like a brodex piece of shite

Does anyone use Ionics gear on here? I've never heard of anyone talking about their poles or brushes come to think of it.

There not really very popular, but I'm sure the brush dave has is a revelation if its being compared to a brodex or similar...
