How Much More Expensive?

Hey guys

Just wondering how much more expensive a van mount to a back pack setup is.

I bought my van a berlingo 2004 for...... £100 yep £100 from my brother, it needed an oil cooler that's it £30.... touch.

I'm planning to put a 350 ltr tank in the back and to buy the water and store it. Then use a back pack to do my cleans.

How much more expensive is it to have a full van setup? 1 man band.

Also it only has back doors no sliding door.

Cheers guys

Wouldn't be a whole lot more, its almost the same as a backpack but you would have a better pump and a longer hose.

80 ish quid for sureflow pump

Price of tank, flow controller and hosereel and you would need pole etc either way

Get on ebay and have a butchers

Tank = £100 eBay or a cheap second hand one

Pump (shurflo) = £80 ish

Controller = cheap analogue off eBay or digital for £70 ish

Hose reel with 100m = £130 ish

Plus a few odds and sods like tubing, jubilee clips, elbow for tank to hose to pump, ratchet strap for tank or buy a frame and bolt to the floor, hozelock connectors.

Best thing I ever did getting a van mount!

Some people like wagga prefer backpack on a trolley

Says it's easier to whip that out than fannying about with his van

I'd like to have a go of a van mount to see the difference

I just went with a van mount and if im honest I get my backpack out more than the hose reel, I did a trolley diy and have never got that out the van!!!

You will want a backpack anyway to go and do custies backs so start with that and see how you get on, get a tap on your pole to turn off and on so you don't need the backpack on your back, BIG difference at the end of the days graft

I am planning on just getting a tank in a van to fill trolley or backpack at first and see how i get on

Don't matter what anyone says i still like trad/wfp mix and do so many houses with access and parking issues a backpack / trolley makes more sense to me unless i get a lot of commercial

The guy in this vid uses the backpack more than the hose reel

i went from carrying my backpack on my back to having it on a sacktruck to a van mount about 4 months ago , i thought each version was dead easy until i tried the next one ,, i never realised what hard work humping a sacktruck about was until i wasn't doing it lol. van mount is so much easier but always got a backpack in the van. it took me 10 yrs though from backpack to van mount really wish id done it sooner

i used a 35 ltr trolly perfect for the lot. could wheel it here there and everywhere.take it up through houses.onto decks etc just used lots of 10 ltr and 20ltr containers in van.that i would take too trolly rather than keep bringing trolly back to van to fill
