Hi guys,

New to the forum as of today and just saying a quick hello!

Also after abit of info, I bought my round just over a year ago and have been cleaning every 4 weeks like clockwork - I feel I've built up a decent relationship with a lot of my customers and I'm wanting to change my method from traditional as I do now to WFP.

What way would you recomend doing this & if so what system would you think I'd need?

I've got a citreon berlingo van at the moment - would this be big enough to have a system in the back?

Thanks in advance guys

Jack

Welcome to the forum Jack, a berlingo is fine to have a tank in the back tell people where you are based I am sure someone will help you out and show you there set up poles etc

My van is a 625 kg tuffers, not sure it will be upto it? Also not sure what size tank id need in my van!

I'm looking at Vauxhall vivaro or a ford transit window surfer. Wondering what other people have on here?

Most of the medium size vans, transits, experts etc have close to a ton payload, but you only go 650 because you have to take into consideration your own weight, pumps, reels etc

I just thought a van would have a better payload than my warrior has, which is 1200 or 1300kg
I've always thought that too mate, my vivaro is only 1100kg I think, I reckon they can take 1500kg easily, never much difference when my 650L tank is full and have all other kit on inc gutter vac and ladders etc etc.

You cant take a 650L tank in a berlingo if uou are going to fill the tank. Thats 650kg right off the bat.

As long as you set up your inline taps and water flow properly you can easily do 25+ 'typical' jobs with 350L and have leftovers.

If you need to do more than 25 jobs a day then fair play.

Remember that payload includes everything. Driver, passenger, fuel, sandwiches and so on.. it soon adds up.

@Diwrnach

Because small vans are always based on the company's family car chassis... Well most of the time anyway, so they can't actually hold that much weight...

It's not until you get up to the bigger vans that you get the proper payloads, and a purpose built chassis that's up to the job

My connect is based on the c170 platform, a focus basically!

All the other manufacturers do the same... VW caddy, just a golf/touran etc etc

I'd love a pickup, but the van is more practical for load space, so a van it is...

Yes there is I suppose but forward thinking I reckon I'll be best getting a van with a bigger payload & getting the 650 L tank in it.

It'll save me money in the long run, what van do you have mate?
