Work trousers

No they looked they were unnecessarily expensive! Just a lightweight polycotton trouser with elasticated waist band. Get it on the smaller size because the elastic stretches after a few washes

As in I wouldn't be seen dead in the zipoffs! Extra weight of the zips would slow you down too! Every little helps when you've got to pick the kids up from school and have to proper RUN on your round!!!

I use craghoppers fleece lined trousers. tuck them into my socks when wearing trainers or into my muck boots. perfect for the last winter

I've been in the building trade for years so as you can imagine I have been through lots of work pants, the only one I use now are snickers they are a bit pricey but they stand the test of time, no rips around the crotch area when you stretch that bit to much and the knees don't wear out as quick and all the pockets you need..

I agree, they are the best work trousers you'll ever own, only problem is the weight of them. THey're very heavy duty, but on the whole you don't put them through the same stresses window cleaning as you do building. One thing I like about proper work trousers though is a set of carpenter style flappy pockets. Good for keeping the keys and stuff in without it getting in the way of the BOAB.

some times there can be to many pockets.Excuse my ignorance but what is a BOAB (newbie here)
Bucket on a belt. Tradders use it to hold the applicator/tbar in.

Have you ever tried scruffs trousers, the ones with the reflective strip at the back are really good.

bucket on a belt make sense new it would be something obvious sat there racking my brain

didn't try scruffs had discovered snickers by then once I find some thing that works for me I tend to stick with it
