I got a few customers i have to keep reminding a few days later to pay me every time i cleaned their windows which annoyed me.

I tell them to leave the money or cheque in an envelop in the back garden when i come round but they insisted on paying online only

Just had a text message from one customer at the weekend ''we been away and just got back, will pay you next week''.... i thinking you got the time to text me, why don't you pay me online instead!

I know what some of u will say...''drop them!''...but i hate to stop doing good money work:(

I don't offer online payments but should, collecting is a pain for me and having to go back several times for £6-£10 is very annoying. I can see where you are coming from for not wanting to drop customers and I'm the same. You could always just say to these ones that your online payment is down and if they could just pay either cash or cheque for the next few months until it's resolved. That way they will be into the swing of that payment

I'm still waiting on a 3 clean house to pay me, £75 they owe me , called and they aren't in, text them and get no reply so I get the wife in on the 3rd clean she says she is going to sort it, text her bank details through and I'm still waiting to be paid 2 weeks later. Iv never dropped any work but it can be really frustrating with some of then

Most my online payers are great...I'm having problems with a new custie though...bit of a footballers wife type, million pound house, brand new X5, fake nails and tits...first time I cleaned she was a bit slow coughing up...did them again last week, "I'll pay online again if that's ok"...checked the account at the weekend everyone's paid except her...polite reminder text sent on Sunday "I'm so embarrassed, make sure I'll do it tomorrow"...it's Wednesday now and still no transfer...think she's going to either have the transfer option removed of find herself another window cleaner.

I think like Skulblaker I won't do online payment anymore, it too much of a bother checking who paid and who hasn't.

I like turning up my customers houses seeing an envelope in the back garden with my name on it not having to worry about chasing the money.

I don't think customers have any right to decide when I should get paid! I want paying straight after I cleaned their windows.

I take online payments and everyone pays by the end of the week

Had a couple who tried it on..not my customers anymore

I won't do a 2nd clean if not been paid for the first

Same as Davey, I let it run to two weeks before reminders start going out, no payment for first clean they don't get a second.

I always have people owing me as i do a lot of customers who are out at work but as long as no one owes me for more than a week it's fine

Way i see it is in a normal job you would be paid weekly or less frequently

It's not ideal for startups but once you have a cash flow it isn't a problem

I just did my admin and surprisingly apart from todays few jobs i did in the rain which i wouldn't expect people to pay into my bank before they have had dinner etc i only have 33 quid outstanding. .usually more than that

I couldn't wait for two weeks to be paid, can't see why it would need take that long to pay someone.
People forget, wait till end of month to get paid etc, I don't mind a couple of weeks.

I have 1 job that whenever it is due i do it and 30th of every month it goes straight in my bank

I have a couple who have set it up so i am paid automatically too

I had a new customer who's windows i'd cleaned 3times so he owed me £60.When I went round there to collect, he said I only wanted an estimate, not to have them cleaned! After a massive barney he slammed the door in my face. I instantly lost my temper and put his bike that was in his alley in the back of my van. He came out and started saying he was only kidding and here's your money. I literally threw his expensive bike on his drive and buggered off

I will not carry out another clean untill the last one has been paid for, I can't understand why anyone would clean a second let alone a third time without being paid for previous work carried out? What other service would you be expected to be aloud to do this?? As the old saying goes View attachment 5611
