actually i bleve many customers are relieved when i stop coming. theyve a breather from the pressure of coughing up money and can look around after a while for somebody new
its same as if you go to the cinema every week ,at first you loved it , suddenly one day you cant face going in , that guy who sells popcorn hates you and you know it .
I think you're right. We all like to think we brighten up the lives of our customers, andfor a small minority maybe we do. But there is no escaping the fact that we are a burdon, a necassary evil for many.

im glad im not one of those windies whose cracking jokes and singing -the archetypal windie loved by all

"here he comes hurrah !" the cry goes up as he enters the alley . cos once u start that up youve got to keep it up, bet thats a real drag , after the first 6 months thumbing thru joke books each morning

Agreed mate. I take a much different approach, by making them feel better about their lives by seeing how **** mine is. /emoticons/biggrin.png

Well I didnt check in last night /emoticons/sad.png or get much canvassing done thanks to some idiot in an Audi cutting across my lane at 5pm last night! Not much damage only front but took me nearly 2 hours to sort out with insurance thankfully it's a non fault claim who says its us women drivers eh? /emoticons/unsure.png

Anyway managed to get a couple on round and I'm going up to continue where I left off last night this afternoon in the little goldmine area /emoticons/wink.png

Oh and how much is reasonable to charge for 1 inside window? It's a kitchen window in a ground floor flatThank you
try to swerve inside they are a right pain in the ar$e.

I cleaned one of my customers inside patio doors as a favour,

Then she expects it each time im there.

I had to put a swift stop to this, Pi$$ taking behaviour.

Some people Charge 50% of the out side price to do inside.

I charge whatever the cost is for outside so in and out will be double

As for 1 window either just do it as a 1 off for nowt or say you can't do it

I offer a text reminder to all my customers the day before, generally goes out early evening, I find when signing up new customers it's a strong selling point and makes you come over a decent outfit, all my texts are sent via cleaner planner which is a "No Reply" text and arrives on there phone as WindowClean not a mobile number, it is what it is sold as a 'reminder' not a chance to text back and try to wriggle out etc.

Personally I wouldn't come over a decent outfit especially with a new customer but we all have our little quirks;-)

Cheers for the video.

I'm going to start canvassing for the first time ever withing the next month.

Nice to see someone with such a good reputation for getting work knocked back at the door. I mean that in a good way as in it could be soul destroying for someone who's never canvassed before. So shows it happens to everyone.

What's your average hit rate ?

Really is area dependent and time of day, 10-2 4-8 monday to friday and saturdays 10-3 are best times.

1 in 25 houses knocked is probably a good estimate. /emoticons/smile.png
