hose on the outside

WCF

Help Support WCF:

You can get the hose i have from ebay

30m with rectus fittings and tap already fitted for under 30 quid

It's more compact like this though posh

How much hose have you got to reach round all your jobs?

Could be, fairly sure I remember looking into the different kobold and the pumps, was ages ago now though.

Also @Diwrnach you don't have to strip yer backpack down. Just use it from the car/van with a longer hose on it. Works the same. I use my backpack sometimes straight from the car with 150ft hose on it. Works fine.

The tap makes a difference for sure

Cuts the pump completely

No more running to and from the trolley

About 150ft but very rarely use that much. Have a couple of times & was fine.
45m then

Mine is 30m so 99foot

Reckon that will do most jobs? ?

Was fine today but was normal houses and access

Get one of those kobold boxes we got for 65 notes then

Then backpack is a backup or for when you have a job you can't park near

Would still need to fill it up then though rather than run directly off barrels.

You got a link for that one mate been looking and can't find it.

I'll have a look

One thing that was a pain is putting the hose on the reel

Got empty reel for a tenner from the range

Fitting is for normal size hose

Got a few inches if normal hose and attached it

Then normal hozelock connector

Then double ended bit to attach hozelock connector with smaller diameter barb to fit yellow hoze to

Made sure it was all 100% leak free before reeling 30m on

I'll have to do something similar as I have same hosereel

I can't find the link

Why not look on ebay and get a cheap pump and battery from there?

Box is a tenner from b&q

If not using trolley will only be a few quid for the whole lot

Those blueboxes have ok components in but the quality of the box isn't great which is why i stripped it in the first place

Battery was loose etc

At least with a small exterior junction box like mine you can screw it to the inside of your pickup and know it is sturdy and weatherproof and going nowhere

Add a tank and you have your first van mount lol

That's exactly what I am doing lol

But was planning on getting a shurflo pump and decent controller.

Managed half a day with hose on the outside before really losing my temper as it snagged on a bit of guttering. I screamed f.ing hell!!! Turned around and the old girl is standing there waiting to pay me  I'm definitely an inny from now on /emoticons/wink.png
Defo a daft idea on the outside, just another thing to snag up on everything. Bad enough with hose out the base of the pole snagging up on everything it see's ! I just wash out the pole every week, never had a problem yet. When finished a house I put my pole in the holder and all the dangling pole hose into a bucket of soapy water so its all clean for the next job.

I had mine on the inside all day agai today

Got caught up on so many more things than i used to

Going back to being an "outie" tomorrow

Plus pita to split the polep

I have a tap on my hose now..do you attach it to the pole @Posh or let it hang loose??
