from customers . not texts i mean paper letters - do any of you write back? is it nice to write back, the feel good factor,is it any good?

i never do write case i stir a hornets nest . a typical example is someone writing to me to cancel saying "thank you very much for your service but we are moving blah blah

last week i had a customer write " this is to cancel take this as notice with immediate effect, thank you " this one sounded a bit anti i wanted to write back "whats wrong with you then ?"

LMAO, I have never had a letter off a custy. If I got that second one you mentioned I would be tempted to do something naughty.

Maybe the customer got that advice off a consumer forum - sounds like something a lawyer would advise for no wiggle room

I wouldn't write back, I'd assume they were cutting down on their expenses if there's no other obvious reason

They simply get an asterisk next to their name so should they want to sign up again then when they want to come back I add another £5 to the service.

(Messed me about by cancelling tax)

If they agree the new price i clean but most would just say they'll think about it and not call back.

Done a customer for two years water fed no problems one day get a letter cancelling because they didn't like the fact I left the windows wet on the last clean. Felt like getting the letter and shoving it down their throat lol

I get cheques sent to me and hate it when it has a letter with it in case its a cancellation. But had a letter a little while back thanking me for tidying up her flower pots and picking up her pegs. I've no idea what she's banging on about, I didn't touch em

I am the same. Thick envelope and I am like otttt ooooo. Lol.

Mostly its customers asking for an extra thing cleaned. So that's good.

I never ask they are cancelling.

I had once cancel few months back. Another cleaner called me up asking why I stopped cleaning the house. I advise that they cancelled me and gave no reason. He said that the customer said we were unreliable. We were three days late due to me having operation. We informed the customers via text message that we would be up to a week late due to this.

So customers who cancel. They just get a "meh"

She was a cow mate TBH.

She set up a direct debit to come out every 4 weeks. But we cleaned every 6. I explained I would constantly owe her money. She couldn't grasp it.
