3mm jets in action

WCF

Help Support WCF:

I see his point if you work quicker with them bit if you worked the same speed you can't help using more water as the flow is up higher..that is just physicsDepends if the higher speed of rinsing offsets the amount of extra flow per minute
I don't like this use more water concept it encourages a less thorough job for me.

I suppose it depends how you work

On maintenance cleans i only scrub the glass twice and the speed which you do it makes no difference as long as it all has 2 passes of the brush

Personally i use 2mm jets with a lowish flow and it doesn’t take long to rinse

If the 3mm jets give a lot more flow maybe i could rinse quicker but the glass would still have had 2 passes with the brush

So as long as it rinses properly it wouldn't be a less thorough job

I haven't used 3mm so can't comment on the rinse but i can scrub a window very quick and no difference from scrubbing it slow

My only issue is that i work quick anyway and make a very good wage and have a comfortable lifestyle

How much quicker do i actually need to work?

I think you have to find a good balance as i work to live not live to work if you get what i mean

It's more about flow rate,

I use high flow, so the 3mm jets are essential to stop splash back and wasted water,

When I was using a low flow and 2mm jets, it took ages to rinse, because the water was falling down the glass in a thin slow sheet,

This meant that rinsing all the 'dirt' and 'bits' took ages, and used more water to bring those 'bits' down the glass,

Now I have a high flow, and the 3mm jets, the volume of water is thicker, this creates a much more heavy and dense rinse, so all the 'dirt' and 'bits' run down the glass in seconds.

That means I spend a LOT less time rinsing, and, amazingly LESS water.

My tank lasts a lot longer, so it's 100% proven for me.

It's like having the kitchen tap running very slowly when rinsing a plate, takes ages,

Then opening the tap a few more turns, suddenly those bits fall off the plate a lot faster, so you turn the tap off and jobs done,

But if you continued to rise the plate with the slow running water, the bits would take ages to move down the plate, and you'd be wasting water, waiting for the bits to fall off the plate.

That's kind of how it works, when you watch my little clip, I would rinse for about 4 seconds, and that would create a nice waterfall to run everything down the glass quickly.

Whereas with a low flow, it's take ages, and I'd use more water overall, as it would be running for a lot longer...

I diy my brush in the summer drilling new holes in the brush and stick the two clear water hose in it with no pencil jets.

It work but u will use up a lot of water quick if u are a slow worker.

Got my 3mm jets in today and done my house windows, far superior rinse , i would highly recommend these if nobody has already tried them

This is what you have to consider. If you are a slow washer or have very dirty windows that need a first clean, then you can chew through water. So its best if you are on maintenance cleans.

You also need an instant water flow control as you can waste water whilst moving from one window to the next unless you set it up properly before you start washing. By this I mean starting at the furthest point and working back.

I tried 3mm jets and took them out after trying them on my bay window. I found that using them on a 50 flow the water just seemed drop out the jet and not fire out. I had to up the flow to 70 for the water to fire out. They weren't for me I'm afraid.

TBH @Tuffers you have to give them a try for a few days. Your bay window isn't trailing it for longer enough. /emoticons/smile.png

You have to start to see the bigger picture. I use less water with a higher flow rate even although I still prefer 2mm jets.

Although there has been a lot of fallout re the bending on the Tecbuk brushes, prior to me using the Constructor a Tecbuk dual trim modded with a Wag handle was my go to brush. Very early on I ripped out the standard jets and replaced them with 3mm. Much more effective and efficient clean and rinse.

Like that babtism of Windows mate ! /emoticons/wink.png Im satisfied with my gardiners medium soft brush , i added a couple of my old time brass fan sprays though as the standard red ones stinks .. Today me and my brother drilled em up and Now i Can alter between fan and pencil . Really Nice , Like to create that " water curtain" on Hydrofillics and bigger shopfronts .

Ok so you've just motivated me to finally get out the 3mm jets I odered a couple of moons ago and put them in my Gardiner bush, any tips on how to remove the 2mm ones? Cheers
Arent it "push ins " if , just push em Out . Am i wrong ? /emoticons/smile.png
