Anyone use online payment merchant account to allow payments by credit cards paypal etc~? Do customers like it ? is it costly ? Thinking of adding one to my site when its complete

I works out not too bad, you pay a small percent, then a fixed charge, 3.4% + 20p. So 37p for a £5 job, or 54p for a £10 job. it can cost me more between time + petrol to drive back out to them. So if I don't get customers in, in the evening when I go by to collect, I just post them an invoice asking them to pay online or by cheque.

I have covered incorporating paypal buttons, into your website, in my creating your own website thread, in the tutorial section.

I notice credit cards on your website can you accept payment via them too?

no monthly fees, if you click pay now on my website, there is a bottom that says "dont have a paypal" you just click that and then fill out your card details, after you enter the amount you want to pay on the left.
