We are a reasonably new window cleaning business, we have an established round and are looking for financial investment. Can anyone point me in the right direction to help me find someone who would be interested in a return on investment.

This is like Dragons Den this. Who's 'we'? How do you plan on paying back the investment? Whats so expensive that you can't fund it yourself?

Seriously Bannatyne was on radio - the one investment he lost out on - window cleaners ! UK CLEAN or something

He said They quoted for a load of nursing homes nationwide but got it badly wrong as some were a lot bigger than they realised

It was UK commercial clean?? Fought they was a massive success?is Duncan not longer involved?

I no the owner got in trouble for head butting a employee!haha

I will offer you all of my money for 20% of the business

I have 20 years experience and many contacts

Unfortunately that will only enable you to buy a bag of resin as i am skint !

what are you wanting to use investment for and how much are you looking for ?
I am looking for the investment to buy more work. I have been cleaning windows for 5 years. 1 year for someone else as worker. then worked 50/50 with someone for two years. went it alone in October 2014 after splitting the business only had 80 residential customers. Now currently I have 650+ regular 4 weekly customers as I bought a round that was established 20+ years off a guy retiring. and grew my own round. also have a large pharmaceutical contract which is cleaned quarterly. I have one full time member of staff and enough work for another guy 3 days a week. I'm looking to grow and buy more work. and considering a reach and wash set up to help get more work completed daily. and so I don't have to subcontract the contract work which requires poles that I don't have. don't want to rely on another business to help me do my work.

I had investment to buy the last round I bought. I bought the work and the person got a 150% return on all money lent over 15 months. But he's buying a house now so doesn't have the funds to do it again as its his deposit money. He lent me 5000 and got back 7500 in 15 months. first payment after three months. I paid the money back monthly. I understand the deal im looking for might not be the same. just checking options.

I am not willing to let anyone co own ANY work. I'm only looking for someone who wants to gain financially. I have looked at funding angels. The business turnover last year was just shy of £55,000.00

Normally I would roast new folk like yourself for asking for money, but something about you seems legit, maybe its the baby in your pic. If you lived closer to me I would possibly have a meet up with you to discuss. But anyway, these are some important questions you need to answer;-

How much do you actually need?

And why can't you fund it yourself?

Why can't you get a loan off the bank?

I can take a roasting lol. listen I have great business sense. I wont make much money in the first year and a half but I after it paid for itself in gutter jobs regular cleans and nature growth. I will own a larger round. looking at the higher picture. know about the business.. I can't get the money from the bank as I made bad decisions when I was a young man financially. left me as a family man with bad credit. I'm looking for between £5,000.00 & £7,000.00 and the reason I can't fund it myself is that the round currently generates about £4250.00 per month but I have to take wages off that of course for me and the two lads. although I bring in a decent wage. It will take me a year or two to save that money.

if youv not had a price rise lately you should be able to get an extra 500 a month there easily. , thats 5k by end of the yr isnt it. [if you put it to one side that is

I did a price review last year, when i bought the work and my work is priced well anyway, thanks for the advice, with all due respect i dont need any advice on how to run the round, im just looking to see if anyone was aware of any places to you can speak to regarding financial investment for a return. Although i do agree that many window cleaning businesses are scared to do a review on pricing and often miss out on warranted increases.

Fair play to you mate - sounds like you started at the 'bottom' and have grown & grown. Good luck with it all.
