Started at 8:30, first 3 houses the water froze on some of the windows. I had an oil filled rad in the van all night and poles were in the garage. Got all my work done and it turned out a nice day. Picked up 2 jobs and quoted a day centre. Picked up 4 new jobs totalling £105 every 4 weeks plus put in a quote for the day centre. A very good mid winter here.

This is our first month of full time window cleaning, all good until this morning...

All 25L water cans half frozen... As the water was flowing though the system... It was freezing. Argh. Only in Somerset.

Bringing it all in tonight. Might put an oil heater in the shed.

Any other ideas?

Jase

Freezing in the barrels or on the glass?

No heater here and still no freezing, I was out at 6am Monday when it was -4 with wfp in town, no problems.

My bucket & squeegee have been fine. Oh & my ladder ain't froze either.

I ask you. Wfp. Way forward.

Yeah rite /emoticons/tongue.png:p:D:D

No go this morning.

-3 at the moment. Been out to the car & defrosted it but everything is white. One of them mornings where you say sod it.

Might try later. Just put some water on our back kitchen window & it froze.

Lovely scene tho all being white.

im worried in conditions like these of leaving ice on paths and patios and getting sue'd when someone falls over. Anyone had this happen to them?

I sprinkle salt. It's very rare I have to use it, but always keep a bag in the garage, and take it out as needed. Cheap as chips too.

How you put oil filled rad in van what you connect it up to?

hmm, I was thinking - but what if you cant have it connect to a lead, for example if you van isnt next to your house or is on the road, could you connect it to a battery of some sort..

You could always go to the nearest house during the night, and see if they have an outdoor socket then plug an extension in it to yer van [emoji106]Just get up before they do! [emoji23]
