Next time I'm tempted to take an old pair of trainers with me, slip them on as i get out of the van, do the job, but make a point of treading in the **** and then splodging foot prints all around their nice new patio, paying special attention to get most of it around the wheelie bins and back door area, then dumping to old, now heavily soiled trainers in their wheelie bin as i exit stage left! Job done (wagga voice).

My wife is a mobile hairdresser/makeup artist and has hundreds of clients across our town. It comes in really handy for picking up new customers but this one she got me recently. Jesus.

They've got two dogs who **** everywhere. All over the slabbed front yard, all up the side alley, all over the patio and the grass. I am never more than a foot away from a turd. There's fresh turds, turds that are a few days old and turds that have been rained on and turned to mush.

I so badly want to ditch them but I don't want to make things awkward for my wife. They're good payers and she earns well from them each month because they're a large family.

Today was different as i was doing a one off clean for someone who is moving and is not about for access on weekdays but i charged it appropriately and did a handfull of other jobs i had outstanding in that area but not on a weekday where it would impact my round

Jade was knocking the doors today, whilst picking up a customer a friend of the customer says 'oh can you do mine as well?' Jade agrees to pop round and quote.

This neighbors house falls on a different round day so Jade checks in and I tell her it will be the first Tuesday of each month. 'the customers says due to access the only day they can do...........' I cut her short on the phone.. 'Sorry hun, it's not a job for us, it's already a drama so I don't want it'

It has become my stance on residential lately that if they don't fit my schedule they just don't fit full stop.

Thats my pet hate (no pun indended). Really hate dog poo. The amount of times I had to put my foot in a puddle or long grass to wipe it away.

Even then the smell seems to linger all day.

Now I first check the area with the known offenders, just to make sure I have clear run.

LOL worst case was when i was trad. Stepped in some and went up ladder. What a mess.

I can cope with it on my feet to an extent but its unavoidable when using hose that it gets blathered whether they clean it up or not. tried eating fish and chips after this particular house and decided no more poop fingers for me.

Thats true, but since i started canvassing last week i realised how easy it to pick up new custies so im quite happy to start dropping the odd one that ive hated doing, im pretty busy atm so no worries

i have think 7 seven customers out of 160 that have more fixed day/time then the rest (the rest is on any week day i decide)

2 of them with a fixed day and time and i just plan work around them, they are always spot so am i, and they pay on the doorstep. other 5 has a fixed day and they are good payers too, most know off them take a home work day when i am coming, i ring the night before to agree time, it works great too, its so few out of the whole so doing work around them is easy.

But maybe i run my business from another perspective. I have general rules, but to be honest if i call a customer and (like yesterday) says "can we move this 4 week forward as we are going on vacation" i just say yes and move them 4 week forward, i really dont hang in the small bits here and there as long as it for a good reason and not every time.

in the end its their house and money so they have the final call. I run a small personal company with abit more flex than the rest and it really what set me apart and ppl like it i think, think its called service /emoticons/smile.png

And i make a living of it
