Looking forward to seeing what you come up with boar, but I just bought myself a 100 shoe covers off ebay for a fiver. Could have got them half that price if I don't mind waiting for them from China. The problem I can see with your idea is that no matter how much you scrub, and how clean your shoes are, your customer will still demand you take them off....or worst still ignore them, but not ask you back next time.
