new uni valve looks mint

Right spruce . Fair enough fit one near the brush to change brushes . But am I being a bit thick here . If you fit one just below the univalve is there not a chance when you pull the hose you could pull it out of the connector

Never did on the original Aquadapter that used them. Aquadapter also used push in connectors on the later Aquadapters; again the hose never pulled out. Originally the advise was that if you were using hot and you were using the A/D orange hose, you should put inserts into the hose to stiffen it up.

Just fitted mine. Easy fit. Tried it on my house. I miss the "click" always looking to see if water was off. Everyone says they are so easy to pull. Mine is quite hard. Hope it freeze off else ill go back to Aquadapter

Where is the best place for me to get the o clips from ?

You want the double ear ones 7 - 9 mm.

PACK of 10 O CLIPS DOUBLE EARRED (hose clips, pipes, tubes, air, fuel)

If you are prepared to wait a month. they can be shipped from Hong Kong cheaper.

10 PCS DOUBLE EAR CLAMP O CLIPS AIR SILICONE PETROL WATER FUEL HOSE PIPE JUBILEE

Alex does the single ear ones which are much better for clamping the hose onto the nozzles.

Inner Ring O Clip Hose Clamp Stainless Steel - 8.2mm - 9.5mm - O Clips - Hose Clamps & 'O' Clips - Hose Fittings & Adapters - Pump & Hose - All Products Gardiner Pole Systems

I would have thought the double eared ones would be better at the angle adapter.

Cheers Spruce.

I'm guessing these can't be bought anywhere local

When I fitted mine I thought it was broken because I couldn't feel any action, it was a bit stiff but soon went smooth as butter.

I have used it all day, made the pole feel lighter/stiffer no snagging of pipes as its so much tidier.

@Alex87 I have not seen them in any hardware or plumbing stores I've been in, but, tbh I haven't really gone in to especially look for them.

The motor trade mostly use jubilee clamps for hoses. On smaller fuel hoses the motor manufacturers mostly use push on connectors. In days gone by we would prefer those constant spring clips as they could be easily removed with pliers and reused.

Like these;

Mikalor W1 Self Clamping Spring Band Type Constant Tension Fuel Hose Clip Clamp

You will be able to find those at a motor factors, but as they aren't really used in a high pressure environment, I wouldn't guarantee they would do the job. TBH I wouldn't even try.

I usually order a few when I place an order on a supplier and have a number of different sizes in my toolkit. As I said earlier, I prefer the single ear units Alex sells (and probably others) as they clamp better, but I will need to order a couple of these doubled eared ones for the Uni-valve.

Ebay is an easy place to order these odd little bits as they are just posted and will arrive through the letter box in a couple of days. Its very convenient. Over the years I have come to realise what I can buy off Ebay and what I only buy from a wfp supplier like Alex and Daqua.

I have managed to buy o rings in my local bnq weren't cheap but glad as I needed themThese are double eared

/emoticons/smile.png I have never seen them there TBH. Must have been looking in the wrong place.

Credit where credits due was despatched one yesterday and it arrived today when I'd got home, tried it out feels weird after using aquadapter, it switches off every time with a short jolt but when I switched it on I found it would go straight off, but after a few attempts was ok, don't think there's anything wrong with it maybe it's a bit stiff at first or I need to get used to it, thanks for the gesture Steve hope it's a success?

That doesn't sound right, I ordered 2 and only paid £8.95 postage, and I'm a lot further north than you /emoticons/unsure.png
