Wife got home today (having been away since October) and we stopped at a pub on the back from the airport for some lunch.

Over lunch we discussed my brother in laws request to take on the family business in Cebu. All our friends and family live there and the only things keeping us here are a window cleaning business and the Silverstone Grand Prix.

Well we have decided to get out , to run for the hills and not look back so it would appear that I am now entering my last year as a window cleaner for the forseeable future (hopefully forever)

Already just a few hours after commiting to the move I feel a little saddened by the fact I wont be haggling for contracts and cleaning windows anymore but not so sad as to not go. /emoticons/smile.png

At least it gives me the year to put the company in order, boost business like no tomorrow, find a buyer for the company and go out on a high.

When the hell did this job become so dammned adictive?

I love this job so glad i started i never feel ****** off with it just keep building good luck to you fella hope you find new enjoyment for the new life style

@Markyboy 50 are you serious? I will be on here like white on rice all winter long posting pics of palm trees and screen shots of the weather report from my phone. /emoticons/tongue.png

But seriously we are not far from the big money neighbourhoods and I am wondering if there may not be a market for me to have a few days a month. The asians think they have truly made it once they have white staff.. They may well do it for the status..... what they don't know is I probably would have cleaned them for free just to be cleaning windows once in a while /emoticons/smile.png)

Errrr, this is a window cleaners forum. Once you quit the job but still come on here, that just makes you a nosey chap!!! I think we should have a vote whether you should be banned or not, lol. /emoticons/wink.png

I not issued an official warning as a mod yet. I prefer the quiet word method but on the topic of being banned you officially get three warnings on here then you are banned. So lets see if you can last till I go @steve garwood. Then if not at least I will have you to share my exile with! /emoticons/tongue.png

There's a long time until next year , what I will miss is when you tell people to work at

McDonald's/ Tesco if there miss a couple of days when the weather is **** .

I have never said anything of the sort in relation to BAD weather Natty.

I have said words to that effect when people have made statements alon the lines of 'if im behind so what?' Or ' if i miss a month a a customer complains they can do one'

Weather however is subjective. Some of us choose to work in light rain some choose not to.

And I have certainly NEVER TOLD anyone to go work at Tescos or McD. Just pointed out they need not worry as there are usually situations vacant for those lacking motivation to drive themselves

Add a couple of zeros on to that figure /emoticons/biggrin.png
Nope. Thats a reasonably accurate projection of 6x the monthly clean value 12 months from now. Does not even include the value of the company name, email addeesses, web site, phone numbers, vehicles, equipment, a month of me training a replacement and introducing them to all the clients, accountant and existing bank account structure etc etc.

I am not a greedy man Natty, an bear in mind as a Ltd Company I am not selling a 'Round' I am selling my share in the company. That's all.

By the sounds of it you have a great business, you have built it up from scratch from reading posts from when you first posted . Someone will by you a good round .
