Have a problem with my pump , it has been spitting out of the brush and then all of a sudden flow then back to hardly any flow, nothing has been changed and I can't figure out the problem , it sounds like it's only sucking so much water at a time. Iv turned it up full and still no difference. Any ideas lads???

Def air in line. Check the connection and hose between tank and pump an The hose between pumpn di vessel

Take hose of the pump outwards feed and checknwater There see wat it doin

If this fails unscrew the head of di vessel. Check the white pipe in middle ain't clogged. Then wen screwing thevtop back on fill water to brim to get any air out

Ok put that in the di and it shud be 3/4 full It then fill Rest with water. To brimm an seal. Then check water comin from that

If it is ok. Then clean ur jets out and clean ur pole hose. Unreal full hose check for kinks

Ok water is coming out Ok from the pump , the white pipe is clear , does this white bit have anything to do with it? Is it supposed to be up tight to the head of Di? View attachment 9583
That white cone thing would slip down on my vessel too, I glued it to the top. Dunno if I did right but I didn't like seeing it half way down the tube when I unscrewed the head. Where's @spruce, he'll know what's up.

That basket filter should be in the head and should stay there.

See the photo of a di vessel head on Daqua's web page last item

DAQUA - Suppliers of DI Vessels - Complete and Filled with Resin

There also should be a small rubber o ring which is located in the head that the riser tube pushes into and seals. These basket filters keep the resin in the di vessel.

Yes I have the ring and have pushed it up, if it falls again il glue it in, hopefully that was the problem as it's done my head in

Still having problems with this it keeps dead ending , I turned the calibration up and it seems ok for now, would that technically fix it or is it going to **** up on me on my first house tomorrow ??

Shouldn't have to glue it.....

If it were me mate I'd just just buy a new one - I can be stubborn as hell trying to fix things but sometimes the easiest things to do is replace and crack on.

Alternatively, is there a good local supplier near you? (Particularly one that mends broken equipment) Might be worth popping in if there is.

If the controller keeps dead ending with the flow you need then raising the calibration will solve the problem.

If you were having dead end issue with the flow you wanted, does reducing that flow stop the dead ending? If it does then the answer is to raise the calibration point for your higher flow rate.

When the water is cold in winter we usually have to raise the calibration level but in summer when the water is warmer, we reduce it.

Funnily enough as you say that my brother had his flow at 60 I think then 99 and nothing I then put it down to 50 and it worked and I went round the back and when I had came back he said it was still arsing about, at least I no now that It's fixed....hopefully

Getting the correct calibration is a defining factor as is when you have ran your tank low the previous day make sure the next working day with full tank to check for air locks , Each morning before i start my first house before connecting to reel i run pump at normal rate up to flat out in stages to push any air out it will splutter and spit until pushed out .
