Been using my own dog eared Unger S channel for a couple of years and I reckon I had the pressure of the dog ear just about right...just ordered a load of supplies (including an S-Plus channel)...don't know if it's just me but I find the dog ear a bit aggressive...anyone else think likewise and if so have you bent them back a bit with successful results?

Stick with your own dogears mate

The s plus is poo

Do you have the ends square or do you cut a 45° angle in them?

I cut the angle also like polzn bladz which they based the liquidators on and that makes a big difference getting in the corners

I only bend the last inch about 2mm down if that much

I put a pair of pliers on the front of the end of the channel and bend downwards so the whole inch is a mm or 2 lower than the rest

Ive just bought a 12" plus, used it today and same as above, seems no different to the normal channel. Unless im doing it wrong lol

Unger send me products now and again to try.

They sent me one of the s plus channels last year.

Not sure if it was just the one I got but the dog earing had different angles on each side it looked like it was done by hand not great at all.

I got the feeling they rushed it out to keep up with the liquidator.

I went back to standard ergotec.

i find the s plus has a bit more drag than the s and its not a zero detailing tool but its close-ish

does look like some dude is just hitting the ends with a big hammer

My freebie ones were the same..all ends different

Must be some guy with a pair of pliers on the end of the production line i reckon

How close to the edge of the channel do you cut your rubber on the plus davey? Gonna give this a try tomorrow, see what difference it makes.

I'm definitely getting loads more drag than with a standard channel and more than with my own dog eared channel, only used it on three houses and the rubbers showing quite a bit of wear on the end already....my own modded channel has an angled cut on the end, haven't done it on the S-Plus yet...definitely going to try to take some of the bend off the ends.

That's a normal s channel

45° cut at the end then last 1 - 2 cm bent forward at the front edge rather than the end bent downwards if that makes sense

Stick with diy dog ear mate, I got offered an s-plus channel cheap but had a go with it and found that diy works better. I've still yet to try the liquidator but for me the s-plus was just a quick way for unger to try match moerman.

I have been modding my own channels for years and until i spoke to Bob Hatt after seeing his vids i thought i was the only one doing it like that

He does it slightly different but it is good to find someone on the same wavelength

I had a prototype liquidator way back and straight away saw how well they perform

Just like my modded channels but straight out of the box

They fit ergotec handles but i don't like the way they fit although that is just personal preference

Ettore quick release handles they fit perfect you just have to take a clip off to slide the channel in then put the clip back on

Also moerman black and blue handles that look like ergotec are good

I love the moerman adjustable handle though

Liquidators have mixed reviews but i say if you are used to using modded handles then give it a go

They are great for 0 detailing

I tradded 2 houses today and only used a sill cloth

I guess it's just a matter of trying the liquidator with adjustable handle and with normal handle then. The 2 settings for the adjustable handle is 0 degrees and then more of an angle than a normal squeegee isn't it @daveyboy?

It is 40° whereas most normal handles are 30°

They are good though as otherwise you need to pull your hand away from the glass a bit more to replicate the angle they work best at
