So I undercharged lol! I don't think I got the glass perfect though, do you guys get the glass as clean as when you do the windows? I got most of the moss off, dragged brush up and down then side to side to get difficult bits off, but it wasn't perfect, but I thought for £15 I don't care about getting it perfect! Customer was happy though and I cleaned PVC (but not top bit) - ok next time spend an hour but charge £30.

I have posted tomorrow.

I will post again yesterday.

£15 for 60 mins? If that's more than you earn on the windows then you priced it correctly. If it's less, then you priced it incorrectly.
I would have charged around £65 up to and including external guttering.

If your based down South I'll be happy to sub them out for you at £15 a pop /emoticons/smile.png
were abouts down south r u m8?

ive just priced up a conny roof its for a guy that lives round the corner from me its about that size i quoted £60 ant hurd anything bk yet:rolleyes: also priced a few upvc cleans in same area but not had a single job get bk to me:rolleyes: people just dont seem to wana pay the going rate here lol lucky im chocka any way so not realy fused but it does pee me off as u go out ur way to price up ect then dont get the job lol:mad:

Bournemouth. People around here don't have as much money as nearer London, but it isn't as bad as Cornwall or other more deprived parts of country. I would say for pricing it's in the middle. Is £30 reasonable for spending an hour on it and leaving it at that whether it's perfect or not? is just much better good enough for that money?

Neither did I. I personally quote 30 an hour for one off jobs plus a bit on top if travelling slippy but it depends how much you want the job. I did a conny roof for 15 last week but it literally took 20 mins and I was already doing the windows it was easy money. I would say I'm in a fairly low priced area but that doesn't mean you have to drop down to their level. The more work you get the higher you quote and the less you care. The less you care seems to get you more jobs as you don't come across desperate.

I personally think £50 for this too ,but don't worrie to much that you've undercharged because

1 its I learning curve and youll know next time what your worth

2 think of it more experience once you've done this you know how long roughly the next one will take and how much your willing to make per hour on the next job.

Wish I could do one in 20 mins.

I didn't know Cornwall was deprived you learn something everyday.
Mind you it's possible went to Yarmouth for a few years and they reckon migrant workers have driven wages down and the locals are skint, I did however remember seeing on the news once that outsiders like loaded Londoners bought houses to use as holiday homes or holiday rentals in Cornwall driving prices up and causing property poverty meaning the Cornish couldn't afford a house.

Did this one for £60 today for the roof

4 panels wide both sides and the finials and that is it

Took under an hour with customer out and then did widows and frames etc on the house..obviously did the windows above the conny before i rinsed it

£80 in my pocket in 1 hr 30

Wooooohoooooo

That looks like clear glass (a nightmare) got any pics of the finished job?

I meant to do before and after but customer came home and i didn't want to be takimg pics while she was there

Was gonna wait for the right time but then forgot

Took that pic while the ubik was doing it's job

No nightmare

Spray on ubik/water

Agitate with no water on

Have a smoke and a redbull

Turn water on and scrub n rinse

Once all bits rinsed off switch to pure and rinse quickly again..used about 12l of pure on the whole job

I am up that way tomorrow and she won't be in..may get a sneaky pic then as i can stand on the wall

I got 2 to do tomorrow so will take some pics then

Without being disrespectful to the OP, you can't, at least not to a decent standard
not true at all. They are all different sizes and level of soiling, the one i did in 20 mins was that brown wood effect and was clean in 20 mins i promise. the only point i was making was price according to time. hence why i only charged £15

Fair do's bud - I've never been able to do one that quick!

I did one that quick today. It was 4 panels of polycarb with nothing more than a year of dust on them. No fineals or decorative crests etc and it took 20 mins. So yes it is possible.

Is it typical? No. My 'typical' conny roof to fet it bang on is anywhere from 1.5 hours to 3 hours. 'Typically'

It takes time especially with the green crests I find but then I haven't heard of ubik until I joined this forum app, usually takes me up to 3 hours for a medium size cony, so going to invest in some ubik

When people start charging prices like £15 for a job like this it knocks the ass out of the business. this is a minimum £30. i would charge £40 minimum myself, its very disappointing reading someone charging such a price for a job, i also would be like well if you dont want to pay £40 then i cant clean it. the time it takes me to do i could make that cleaning regular windows so thats what i shall do, good luck finding someone to do it cheaper. maybe give slippy a call

i clean a job it take 15 minits to clean there windows and polly carbon roof i charge £15 yes that seems cheep but the roof is every 6/7 weeks when i clean there windows its just tree dust on it i is a quick brush and rince easy i also clean 7 other houses in that road so i make good money in this area u have guys trying to nick jobs off u all the time under cutters ect its a nte mare i also price buy how long it takes if ide have said £60 she whould have cancled the glass the lot some times u gota b savy
