Hard Water on Windows

Hi All,

i'm fairly new to it all and am coming across windows where the water 'beads' on the windows when wet, as if the window has had hard water dripping on it from gutters etc.

Leaving the windows with mineral deposits, sometimes visible when dry, sometimes not.

I've some hard water remover in the van, though the question is this:

How do you fit in removing the aforementioned/attending to windows like this in the service you offer??

A. Do you attend to these windows as part of the price you normally charge the client?

B. Inform the customer and charge them extra for working on the windows.

C. Leave them as they are, it's the customers problem?

First - don't waste money on fancy chemicals, buy a bag of lemons.

Secondly - inform customer of the situation.

Thirdly - cut lemon in half and use it to scrub window.

Fourthly - say 'All part of the service'

Lastly - sit back knowing that for 60 seconds of your life you have a happy, impressed and most importantly loyal customer cause you bought a lemon and weren't afraid to use it!

Ive tried neat lemon, didn't budge any of the residue just left a lovely smell /emoticons/biggrin.png

Yeh I have tried lemons before and not touched hard water staining that was been caused from a leaky overflow pipe on her house, she was a bad payer anyway so I ditched her a while back but never did manage to get it off, used to annoy me going over it with the brush.

I have heard that Bar Keepers Friend Soft Cleaner or there Power Cleaner are the products to use, must get some in to try.
