View attachment 7002 I am new to window cleaning and wanted some advice on the attached. I agreed to clean insides and outs of this lakeside cafe for £50 quid I picked the number out of thin air and have just finished 1st cleaning using only wagtail flipper done an ok job owner paid but I don't want to be spending 3hours here every month. Question is do i invest in the that ninja contraption and hope it makes life easier or sack it off and don't go back next month Hated every min of the cleanView attachment 7003

I guess the next clean will be quicker, having gotten all dirt off in the first clean.

maybe say to customer that you really under priced it and it should be at £100 - £150.

If they still want you fair enough if they don't youll probs not mind not doing it again

Hmmm tricky one. I think everything over head height inside will be cleaned with indoor cleaning kit. Then squeegee anything under head height as people will be putting their paws on them. Then all depends how quick you are for outside but I think you can make it work. If not then do it once and be honest tell him it had to be an extra tenner only other option is drop it out.

Which indoor cleaning kit do you use? Rate the stingray?

Haven't used the sting ray but saw the video @Damo put up aparantly cleaning liquid is really good. I just use the under indoor cleaning kit with the pads you take on and off it usually works ok especially for Windows which don't get touched overhead height stuff.

No you can't say ' sorry I made a mistake it's an extra £100 ' !!!

You could prob really skip on inside - just clean what needs doing and then on a bad weather day give inside a proper doing

Clean it for a year then put it up

Or clean inside every 3 months ?

I would try it now rather than carry on then change 6 month down line

yeah i think im going to just put up and do them as agreed £50 will add up over year and i wanted the clean with it being cafe open 7 days a week lot of traffic around there

While ypu have goofed on the price, that will take no where near as long next time. Give all those top ones a quick wipe, damp and dry scrim only, and then trad the rest as normal. I reckon you could get that done in half the time.

Lot of windows for $100, but you also get experience, exposure and the chance to level-up your l33t trad-skillz every time you do the place.

Of the few businesses I've got now, I've charged less than what I'd like to as well; a little boutique I'm doing this Saturday will only get me $15 - inside & out. Granted, it's a very small shopfront with only the door, one large pane and two small ones above those, but the windows are filthy so they'll need scraping too and it'll take me a while.

Still, it's another little, very little, notch in my belt and once they see the results they'll have no problem recommending me.

If they don't recommend me after a while I'll just drop them once I get a few more.

Don't make any rash or expensive decisions right now. The first clean is always longer, sometimes considerably more. Also, if you are new to window cleaning then you will get quicker as your experience grows. I would do it a couple more times to get a better idea of how long it will take you, before thinking of buying anything else or walking away etc. Also practice more with the wag - even if just your own house windows every evening after work. Wagtails can be great - once you have the technique nailed.

Not being funny but at £50 that ain't half bad DEPENDING on frequency. Could do with being more of course. But if that's 4 weekly then a lot you can spray and buff or spot clean ! Depends on cooking as well inside. Grease on Windows and what not.

Outside 110% WFP before they open.

That's about an hours work maybe bit more on inside. Outside. Smash it out in no time.

If you are doing the high glass then I would recommend the fluid that they use in stingray system.

I did a trad commercial job yesterday and the stingray saved my life. Massively messed up on price. Outside was done in a hour and inside just under and hour. All trad!!!! Inside was desks in way etc. You name it.

9-10-11 rung a frame and man up. /emoticons/wink.png

that was an example if your under priced it then you might have to

if you've quoted 50 for inside and out .you cant just do ouside and leave inside
