Uninformed customers might question "why have you left my windows wet"? They will never ask "why are they clean and not wet"? If you are going to use WFP it will help to explain about the magic water...some will still not like it, you either do those trad or drop them...if you set up WFP you will also need trad skills for interiors, maybe windows above flat roofs etc.

Trad attracts dirt though, cleaner for longer with wfp, less cost for customer.

Good marketing spiel...don't know if there's any truth in it though...I regularly switch from method one to the other on my own house, there is no noticeable difference.

Not marketing speil, its a matter of fact. Traditional cleaning leaves microscopic parts of soap (fairy, eco er etc) so any dirt in rain etc can stick to it.

There are videos on you tube that demonstrate this. Nothing wrong with the initial clean with trad, but it wont stay as clean for long and that is scientific fact

Hello Mr customer i can clean your windows useing this wonderful new system, not only will it clean your frames and sills your windows will stay cleaner for much longer, but saying that if you dont have them cleaned every month . I will jump up and down and cry and tell all my mates on the window cleaning forum. PMSL

Yes most would prefer trad but here's a couple of tips for new ( and oldies !)

Clean first where you collect if there in ( eg front door or kitchen window ) so its near dry

AND before you soak a window - have a good look at it - once a window is wet you cannot see bird muck etc

I lost a hairdressers I do the other day , went to collect a week later and the workers said bad news she said just to leave then because the windows were wet the last time , I explained and they just said she said to leave them, I was doig this hairdressers about 7.45 in the morning before opening with wfp , suppose I should have said to the owner I was doing then that way so she would have the understanding . Anyway 10r a month bye bye

This is a really good point that doesn't get raised enough...I've only been called back to re-do a customers windows twice, once was dirt on the insides (c##t) and the other was bird muck I hadn't spotted as I did the top frames without first looking at the glass!

I have a rural round many of my customers houses back on to open land this coupled with dirty unclassified roads lead to dust problems, especially in spring. If you wash with wfp and the wind blows before Windows dry dust sticks to the water droplets leaving the Windows dirtier than when you started. I often get calls from prospective customers who ask "you don't use one of those pole things do you" I've never had a call to ask "you don't use one of those squeegee things do you"

Whats sad about that is that she didnt even have the guts to tell you herself, and sent one of her minnions to do it instead.

Mmmm. This works both ways. I often get people approach me asking 'oh is that the system that cleans all the frames and sills as well?). When I explain that it is and the windows will stay cleaner for longer, its virtually a done deal

A customer came out of a big house I clean in a very clicky village. I thought here we go I've only clean this house 3/4 times and they are going to start moaning. He said the water from the Windows is running down the walls and is cleaning them. I thought here we go this is definitely going to be a complaint. Do you reckon you could try and clean the walls if I paid you. I sprayed the walls with UBIK and then cleaned the walls. His missus came home and thought he had repainted the front of the house. Lol.

Thanks for all the answers, lots to think about and take onboard been very interesting reading.

Den.
