restaurants/risk accessment ?

a friend of mine messaged me on Facebook and said this restaurant is looking for a window cleaner ,and sure enough I went onto there fb page and they're asking for a window cleaner iv messaged them and im meeting them Friday morning to quote ,

would I need or would they want a risk assessment filling out ?

iv tried looking on here to see if I can ,cough ,cough pinch someone's idea ,and how to go about filling one out , I know iv seen some on here but cant bloody find it now ,

any links would be much appreciated ,I know what I want to quote ,is there anything else I need to do ?

has he asked you for a risk assessment?if not don't worry about it,all he will be interested in,is you giving him a good price.umm what happened to the previous windy?restaurants nearly always have a windy.sell yourself and tell him you will offer a reliable service & go in high!!!in case they mess you around.have you got insurance?

think ahead,the job needs to be done at a time that suits YOU ,not so much Them. once i took on a restaurant at 5p.m. start time- straight away i realized it was my mistake as im normally home by then . i later had to force them to change to a 9.am start and they didnt like this change,if id thought ahead i could have avoided the arguing

no they havnt mentioned a risk assessment

they said to come and see them around 10 am ,I said I can make it for 11 ,they said make it 12 30 cos they have someone coming round .I feel there getting a few quotes off people that day .

been a bit naughty over the past few months and not had insurance ,good job you've asked ,ill sort it .

most likely they will not ask(never been asked),and its not that expensive anyway.some of these shop owners are ruthless(not all)when it comes to money,they will want it doing for peanuts,go in with a price you are happy with and don't let them knock you down.last year I lost a shop when some clever head knocked 50p off the price,and YES the retarded shop owner excepted.BLIMEY 50p, talk about penny pinching

I must love my job me ,kids at there mums for the weekend everyones on the p iss and iv been watching wc vids ,di vessel ,wfp youtube vids and god knows what else all night and day .sorting fb page ,messaging custys ,just sorted insurance out (did have it ,then wasn't covered for a few months .just done it now tho) if I had to do this for any other job id tell them to go f*** themselves .

quoted it today ....feel like I was wasting my time.went in and to be fair manager was busy, had a talk with her,

the first 5mins she was on about "theres 3 blown windows blah blah blah "turns out she thought I was someone else ,to fix the blown windows ,

"no im the window cleaner you told me to be here for 12 30 ,do you want inside and out doing"

her " outside and the inside of front door plus the little room before you come into the restaurant" (which was 3 large windows ,she wanted both sides doing "

...............then she said there 3 windows downstairs and 4 up which I took to mean she wanted them doing to so said

"is it ok to go have a look "

she says yeah no worries " so I go and have a noisy round up stairs.

quoted £25 for the whole lot

her "that's twice as much as iv been quoted by other people ""wait I didnt want the 3 downstairs windows and 4 upstairs ones doing "

had it at 18 but f**k it rounded it up ,was beginning to get annoyed,

even then she thought it to much ,she wanted it every 2weeks ,I did say to be fair 1month should be all it needs because it wasn't a busy street so should be fine ,but she wanted them every 2weeks ,got the feeling she wasn't going to say yes to the quote so I said ill leave it with her to phone if they want them doing .

after walking off it dawn on me she was either just trying to get a better quoted or more likely someones quoted a 10er to do them in which case they'll probably drop them after a few clean because its not worth cleaning for a 10er..........

=£18 rounded it up to £20.think that's still fair price .

to be honest their were alerm bells going off telling me oh f**k ,but she was run off her feet so I let it slide ,her head seemed all over the place .if she does ring I might do them ,iv reckoned about 30min job with the odd chat ,if it gets to be a pain in the a** ill bang it on the head me thinks .
