at the end of the day you get what you pay for.its like gutter vacs!!!how many jobs a year will -or do you get when you buy a top spec machine???it all depends on selling the service you provide!!!the same as drive cleaning.WHY buy a machine you know is NOT going to be used on a regular basis.again that's up to the the individual.

i know what your saying but i've seen jetmac get as many bad reviews as good so if it costs me a bit more i'd rather go for the one that has got, as far as i can find, all good reviews,,, it's why i always get my poles from gardiners if you see what i mean

all the best with buying from ben,and as steve has said tell everyone about it!!!this is what forums are all about:thumbsup:

he might not have anything in which case i may take a punt on jetmac but rutland would be favourite at the moment

In my experience people often don't go for the drives - compared to usually ' yes please ' for gutters , facias or even roof clean where appropriate

A lot like to do it themselves or i notice extended family members do it - this is cos it's fun !

It can be fun yes, but also it can be a nightmare (drainage issues, weak mortar etc), particularly for elderly customers or those who haven't got the time or a family member to hand to offer the days work to them for free. the work is there for it thats for sure. I bought my machine setup for £1500 from jetmac in August last year (never again as he is rude, unhelpful and altogether unpleasant to deal with) and it has paid for itself a couple of times over now, then again I've been pushing it with advertising and have a good customer base through the landscaping work /emoticons/smile.png the way I look at it is that I would like to earn £200-300 per week from it as a supplement to my main services through the peak season, if i can consistently manage that then its paying its way very well.

My advice on the machine would be that in a pinch go to Jetmac but be prepared to be up a creek if you experience any issues or require any advice after the sale, but if at all possible I would go to rutland as they have a great reputation and its certainly where I'll be sending any further cash for the next lot of gear I need!

I got my machine 11 months ago from jetmac and it has paid for itself far more than 5 times over now. Having said that I don't do any window cleaning. I do the odd gutter clean which I use as an inexpensive service to get me in the door with some people after which I offer them pressure washing. I have just purchased a softwash system from Ben at rutland pumps with any luck it will arrive before the end of this week. By the end of next week the softwash machine will have half paid for itself already. I have been lining work up for it since well before I bought it.

Which softwash kit you go for ? Be good to see set up pics - are you on the FB softwash uk group ?

Now a member of all the facebook groups I can find. I see one or two from in them.
I've noticed people are quite rude on FB groups and also show off like total dicks

It's not same on here thankfully

All comes down to a little bit of regulation and the regular posters setting a good example. When I join groups like that (and forums for that matter) I tend to try and scope out the group dynamic before I go asking too many questions and making myself look stupid.

There does seem to be some good information on those groups though.

Agreed

The softwash one is good as people are just discovering stuff

It does annoy if you keep going over the basics tho

I have been researching for the past year planning to do it all along so I am pretty sure I know the basics. I just need to learn more about all the different concoctions of surfactants people add to the mix.

I have done a couple of gutter cleans where all I did was spray the gutter with hypo left it 5 mins and hosed off. Seemed to work a treat.

I just whack a load of dish soap in the mix - not sure it's quite as scientific as people make out but I stand to be corrected

I will let the intelligent ones work it out first then copy

Was thinking of this myself as I only get the odd job a year. Are you thinking of going for it mate? Is a turbo nozzle not a must for them?
whatever i get will have a turbo nozzle definatley
