thought I'd say hi to everyone been looking on forums for help and can't find anything thought I'd start up my own window cleaning business so I baught a van from Ipswich (600 odd miles away) I live in the top of Scotland lol. Anyways the van is lovely (now I've sorted the egr valve) and the system was working great till the other day and I'm honestly lost on what to do and not sure where to post it so I'll say it all in here basicly the water pump won't suck water anymore but spins it's a sureflo 100psi 8000 pump but the flowmeter(I think it's called) is also dodgy it's a pureflow meter but when I turn the **** on the top to slow the flow of the water down it speeds up the pump (still doesn't suck in any water) when the ***** in the middle the pump cuts out and when it is on full it is the same as when it is on low the pump just speeds up anyone got any ideas of what it could be or what could be the cause ? I'll try post pics of it thanks

I don't know if I'm right but i heard the pumps should sit the other way around so the shurflo writing is upside down, not that that is the problem your experiencing but other than that there could be an air lock somewhere ? How old is the pump?

Sent using the Window Cleaning Forums app

im not too sure about that as I baught it from a dealer who sell these systems and I got the whole van, from tank to pump I sucked the water through and it was fine but there's a clear filter and can't see any water going through it where else would there be a airlock ? And I'm sure the pump is 3 years old I'm sure I read it on the pump

Thanks for replying mate

It's hard to tell what's going on -

Try to make your sentences bit clearer mate ! Slow down - Use full stops etc and spruce , Doug etc will be able to help

Cheap controller

Quality pump

If you can I would unplug outlet for pump and try it without controller - just hardwire to battery

It seems you bought it as a package from a dealer ?? Is there a reason you don't go back to him ?

Sorry mate normally autocorrect sorts that for me Well that is what it seems was looking at getting a new controller but not if the pump is naff. I will try that in the morning, yeah I baught it as a package but I would go back to the dealer but he hasn't got back in touch with me and it's about 600 miles away from where I live

Straight away I'd turn pump upside down

Check ur volts for power reading Very important it's reaching controller

Seems an awful lot of hose before pump

That's from tank to pump.

U need to start at start for water is the water making it to pump ? Try shorting the distance from tank to pump

Try disconnecting the pressure switch ( there's a thread on here for that )

Disconnect controller and run pump full power from battery

That's 3 different problems and u will soon know which it is and trouble shoot it out

If help needed just ask

Cheers for the help guys, it's working now the pump is upside down and there was a few dodgy connections from the pump to the power and the ground. Need to change the flowmeter as its seen better days anyone recommend a good one for starting up ? Thanks again guys

Sorry I'm not sure of his name mate really helpful and genuinely a nice guy it was a silver transit connect if that helps any 07 plate
