Only tried my combinator a couple of times today, really sunny, after thinking I was doing well with it, had a close inspection and seen cloudy streak in some bits along the edges a few milimeters wide:confused:, where the end clip curve was. so will have to try again, had got on ok with it in my house when practicing.
Slip slip and more slip. It's the same with any 'dog eared' squeegee. As soon as you feel the slightest drag....marks. Think about what happens with a standard squeegee because of either drying glass or no slip. Drags along the whole blade and marks all over the place when dry.

What ladder u got in the 1st video?

Seem light as a feather the way you were carry it.
Yeah they are light, i got them from homebase years ago, perhaps not great for inexperienced, but ive been working with ladders for 19 years so im quite safe on these, i used to have some which were a lot heavier and safer to use. The rubber covers at the top help to keep it from ever slipping

It will take a bit of practice to get right, u need to make sure everything is spot on if u want it to work spot on with one passing. Some window area will need more than one pass. Have you modified it for one passing? I cant use it one passing without being modified

That was the thing, thought I was doing great n slipping and sliding all over the place, so when I saw this line, it went back into the bucket for the moment.

Wasn't using it as a one pass, great tool, but accuracy of the angle has a low tolerancy for getting wrong. Angle of handle is the problem for me I think. Maybe my wrists have been put on back to front.

Tell us this please I got a liquidator channel a while back and couldn't get it perfect. I have an unger handle on it and tried it the other day and noticed if I lean in more towards the window it was working better. Does the proper handle make a difference?? Will it let me be able to squeege my normal way again ?

Like you CHWS I bought the liquidator when it first came out and I hated it, I even started a thread to have a moan about it, i got some mixed responses.

Anyway whoever make it have improved the moulded tips, you definitely want to get new one and if u do I advise dipping the moulded tip in hot water before used....oh and use the red rubber.

They don't need dipping in hot water now

Those clips stopped being sold a month after the liquidator release

The moerman handle is the best to use as it is 45° instead of 30° like most and a better shape

They were made that angle as that is the way to hold your hand in the normal position while having the right angle of the blade on the glass

I also use an ettore handle on one of mine but it does mean my knuckles are almost touching the glass as it is 30°

I only use that for my 5.5" one

Happy days il order a handle and give it a go

Lets not forget the liquidator will feel a lot different to a regular squeegee, if you dont persist with it you may never know the benefits of it, some take to it straight away others it will take a while.

People like Dave and polzn bladz have been using modified dogeared squeegees before the liquidator so they were already used to the difference some what
