Upgrading my clx to a carbon is there much difference between the gardiner slx25 and the water genie viper 25ft as the viper is a bit cheaper.

TCW Vipers are always 10% cheaper and they are a few grams lighter.

Both are superb poles and you can't go wrong with either.

Before the rest all chime in remember one thing, I actually own both SLX and Vipers and use both daily so yes I do feel qualified to say they are equally as good as one another right down to the clamps!

You will love which ever you choose if coming off a CLX.

I can't give you a comparison of the two but keep in mind the smart clamps on the SL-X. One thing I found a real pain was continually having to adjust the clamps to stop the sections spinning before the smart clamps came along even on Gardiner's poles.

I have no issue with this on the Vipers or SLX, just on a crappy old Brodex (excuse the language) that I use for PVC.

i was guna get one of the vipers but next pole will be a extreme its a shame the vipers dont have there own extreme range like gardners i bet they would sell very well

I have been contemplating an Extreme but as a rather large fellow I dont even notice the weight of an SLX to be fair so hard to justify the added dosh.

As am I. But shoulder and joint pain comes when it's too late. An extreme would be a great addition to the poles you've got.

I'm with green

I have contemplated a extreme but I'm a strong lad and the slight difference in weight and extra care needed doesn't suit me

I look at poles as a working tool that I can throw about, not care if it scratches or even if I run over it!

I've actually rang cleaning warehouse today and will be ordering a viper 25 when in stock

Thanks lads green has made my mind up going for the 35ft viper only problem is that in the description it says 2-4 weeks delivery

I only use my 18ft for most of my work at the moment would I be right In thinking I need a number 4 cap for that option
