I'm on the south east coast. Fella from London phoned Wednesday just bought a flat on the sea front can you clean my windows. Me il be there Friday turned up 2 windows Street level they were dirty £20 thank You. Don't hesitate to call when you want them done again.

 
I don't think that's more money than sense, I think that's just factual appreciation.

Didn't take you 10 mins to do two windows, took you 10 mins to drive there, 10 mins to do the job, 10 mins to wherever next. Loads of practice and a few bob on tools.

People really are starting to realize time is money.

 
If I've got a job that's a bit out of my way I always quote a bit more. I just tell them if they want it done cheaper then bring your windows to me and I will do them while they wait.

 
That's spot on. At first you think 10 mins for a tenner is robbery but when you look at what you turnover per day that's when you see the true picture of what that job cost or earned you.

 
I think this is why alot of startups fail, they see the cash in their hands and get all excited forgetting about all the over heads of running a legit business. Should always have a minimum price that is charged even if their is only a couple of windows.

 
My minimum charge is £10 but normally if someone calls and says iv only got 2 or 3 windows and you tell em that it's hodeos amigos.

 
I don't have a minimum price. If I'm out of the van already and doing next door say, then I don't mind doing a couple of windows for £3/4. I do explain that if I stop cleaning next door then they're gonna have to whistle.

 
A lot of window cleaners don't know the difference between turnover and profit.

Factor in tax,ni,insurance tools,admin,deprecation,wear and tear on your van,cost of water and what you charge is not what you get in your pocket.
