Do you put the waste down the bog? :thumbsup:/emoticons/biggrin.png
I thought about it, but at the moment is watering the grass. Quite looking forward to taking a Tom tit while switching the filters.

Then you need the 6mm barb to 8mm push fit connector to connect to the 8mm push fit

Is it worth having anything on the top of the pole for bird **** and he like? I had a bit of bother on one of the windows earlier.
Not read all this post, sorry for not being here to help earlier but I am sure the rest have looked after you!

I have a scraper from gardiners that you attach a pad to, works brilliantly for bird **** etc, also any first cleans I get I run it over the glass to make sure I get all the little bits you might otherwise miss.

Works a treat, if you don't have one, let the **** soak if its old, soak it, scrud it, soak it, scrud it etc, it will come off eventually, if its not old it tends to just wipe off anyway.

As for water, I drilled a hole through the wall behind the sink of the downstairs loo, RO on loo wall, barrel the other side, waste on the sink waste pipe.

Seems to have gone well so far. The hardest part of the project was plumbing in the garden hose tap as I wasn't going straight through the wall with it. The filtration side was pretty straight forward once I got my head around what went where. I can't believe how much all the connectors cost. Lucky I had the hose lying about from my pressure washing so I just nicked a bit of that. It's filling a big water but as we speak, I'm going to go and try the submersible pump on it in a minute.

Still not got a pump for mine and filling 25l barrels and carrying half a tonne of water to the pick up each morning lol.

Getting a tank shortly, want to order a tank and pole from gardiners but the pole I wants out of stock /emoticons/sad.png

Glad its going well for you, takes a bit of dicking about but once your running its all good, do you have the RO on a ball ****? best thing I ever did that.

Each to his own but personally I don't like the reinforced pole hose. Too heavy for my liking. It lays nice on the floor but just too heavy up the pole, especially when fully extended. I prefer the regular pole hose, either PVC or PU in the short lengths (up to 25mtrs) we backpack/trolley users use. I must be gettin old.

Pal of mine uses it tho, and loves it.

I really should do that. I'll have to watch some YouTube for it though as I've not seen it done. I just tried my pump out and wow, it could probably fill a van up in 3 minutes, the power is ridiculous and it's flooding out of a 1 inch hose, amazing.

Bear in mind that the ball valve will only stop the pure, so your tank won't overflow, but it won't stop the waste water. Not a problem if you're not on a meter, but if you are you'll be paying for all that waste water which could be a considerable amount if your like me and forget it and leave it running all night. So it's still good to set a timer.

I've got one of those big blue water butts and it's nearly full to the top, another hour or so should do it then I'll knock it off. Will I have to flush it when I next turn it on?

When you turn it on for the first I dunno maybe 10mins it will be higher, depending on your tap tds and set up maybe above 000 but will drop back down again soon after.
