I'm Norwegian. Brought up in Wales. Just to confuse things.

Hello Scandinavians.

Ole.

Finland has two official languages Finnish and Swedish.

About 5% of the Finland's population speaks Swedish as First language.

A Lot of more has last name in Swedish like I do.

So there is always friendly competition between Finland and Sweden.

And even more jokes like what Sweden has, that Finland lacks?

Good neighbors [emoji23][emoji23]

Having a debate with the wife. I'm saying Finland isn't Scandinavian, its Denmark, Norway and Sweden.

She reckons Finland and Iceland are also Scandinavian. What's correct, or are neither correct?

Could easy google this, but I'm interested on hearing from you boys

But not Finland?
No. But they belong to the geographic term the Nordic countries. But most people outside the Nordic speaks about Scandinavian as Finland and sometimes Iceland too.

Scandinavia Is The peninsula. Finland Is on The mainland.

Finland Is not part of Scandinavia but belongs to northern countries. Finland was part of Sweden one time called östland Eastland in English. But Finns roots are what now a days is called Russia long before Russians came to live in that waist area.

Similar over here. We have countries that tag along on our tailcoats. We feed them and hush them away. We call them Scotland and wales /emoticons/wink.png/emoticons/smile.png
