Hi guys, I know normally we start off with trad and some change over to WFP, but I've started with the WFP. However I have a shop window to do, and with the hose and the fact that the top of frame keeps dripping on the window after I've left and leaves runs, I've decided to start doing it trad.

I don't know any window cleaners but I don't want to make the job hard on myself, so please can you tell me the best equipment to buy? Which soap or solution is best to use? and any general tips for doing the job right. I'll be watching a few youtube videos tonight and practicing on my own home for the next few weeks. Also if any of you know the best place to buy this stuff that would be helpful to. Basically any help is much appreciated. Thanks fellas.

Matt.

welcome on here loads of info on here to keep you right

i'm trad but i am wondering if the top frame needs an extra good clean so any drips, runs will only be pure so shouldn't be a prob but a w.f.p op will know i advise posting on w.f.p. section and ask if anyone can help ya with this

im sure you will get sorted good luck

of course trad rules

Hi mate, what norm said really if you scrub the top frame/seal properly the drips will be pure so won't leave any marks. You can't stop drops just make sure what's dropping is clean and your sorted

ground flor shops better with trad as the time it takes to dry there can be alot of passig traffic creates dust and sticks to the window if u have a bucket in back with water ready to go u can do a shop quicker trad than wfp

I'd recommend watching polz and bladz videos on YouTube and I used to use window cleaning centre but now I use facelift razor red rubber I can only get it on window c!eaning warehouse. I currently use e cover as I saw a lot like it on this forum but now there's others such as aldi magnum, tesco own as well which people here say are good I'm going to to try sainsburys own as well. Hope it's helped a little

If its just shops your tradding best bet is a 14 or 18 inch squeegee, I'd recommend a moerman liquidator squeegee and the swivel handle, if your using a pole use it with the swivel or lock it if using it by hand. Also use razr red rubber as it doesn't wear, it'll eat the corners if you use anything else. It'll take practice but its worth it, you'll also need microfibres or scrim, hope this helps

If you scrub top seal/frame rinse then allow to dry then wfp window then rinse a inch from the top window frame you shouldn't get drips if your water is pure too
