got chattin to a bin man as we were workin on the same street -nodded over to the Merc truckView attachment 7768 , i asked him "has it got aircon ?"

guess what his answer was

A- of course! we love this truck its a cracker

B- noooo, and it only takes 8 tons,real piece of sh/t

B. 8 tonnes is a fair payload. Take it is around a 12t truck

A. Think everything has air con now. The lorries I drive have got it. Even my last 2 vans have it.

i thought it looked a surefire aircon truck. but it seems not. the binman really hated it, i sensed he had been brooding over it.

about an hour later i happened upon him much farther down the same road. he wasnt smiling,i guess the titchy payload eats at you

I would have said A/C on a Merc all the way but 4 years ago I had a company Vito, took it to the shop for service and asked them to check the A/C as wasnt very cold and was told it had none. /emoticons/sad.png
