Or the manufacturer has altered the rubber for more profitIt's not uncommon
I am aware of what the Eastern manufacturers do to maximise profit. This is the price of doing business with them and quality control has to be checked on every order but that actually is beside the point. I was in electronics retail for many years and at the end of the day the end purchaser is dealing with YOU the retailer not some faceless manufacturer and they expect (in fact it is their right) to get what they paid for and with all the expectations that your marketing has promised. The reason why the large chains have the 'replacement no questions asked for 2 years' is because they buy in bulk and carry huge margins to negate this potential problem.

bought some off fleebay  and it arrived yesterday so today my house was due its 6 monthly clean stuck it in scrubbed up and placed my squeegee on glass and

:balloondance:no fine lines great glide bought 2 x14inch and tried both each side and happy days got an order for 6 more pieces straight away

It is cheaper to get the 36" lengths

I do that and use in my biggest channels like my 18 and 22

Then when they eventually need changing after using both sides i will stick in the next smallest channel and cut the ends to fit that and keep swapping as needed

The razr never seems to get nicks in it so lasts forever

I purchased from Bladeright very early last year a couple of packs of 36" and 1x pack of 14". The 36" inch strips are consistently superb. The 14" less so... Inconsistencies in the bulb causing it to be a right ***** to thread into the channel and some strips just don't "have the feel on the glass". I think out of a dozen I binned 5. My advice, stick with the 36"...

I had bought 36" strips from bladeright and window cleaning stuff, both not having the great glide it had. So still waiting for a definite good supplier, hopefully window cleaning warehouse is defo the original, they do a lot of facelift products, so hopefully someone there has raised the issues and get it sorted.

Going to give them a call in the morning to see what the deal is regarding it and get the answer on here. Just ordered some pulex rubber but I know it won't last as long as the razr stuff

i bought a dozen or so 36" Razr from ebay, never used them before.

The young Lad didn't like them, 'too slippy' he said

I used it and it works perfect and has done so for the past few weeks no nicks, marks left etc although it does take a little while to get accustomed to it.

Obviously i can't make a comparison to the 'old, old' stuff or the 'new old' stuff but the 'new new' ones i bought are fine

Well just off the phone to WCW. Asked if the stuff being sold just now is back to the original being sold last year and was told that it's never changed, always been the same, but with all rubber there may be times a bad batch slips through. was told that if I order more and any further problems with it then to give them a call and they will try and sort something out. May be like @daveyboy says, to get the longer size and then cut it down to suit.

Phew. They advertise 'original' Red Razer which is the same as they've always had? Doesn't instil me with confidence. I'll run with my dwindling supply backed up with Black Diamond Hard which actually has better slip albeit wears more quickly. I'll keep my eye on the reports for a few months. Simply not interested in the risk of having a swag of red rosebush ties...

eh 3 days using my razr rubber finished front of bungalow and noticed my razr wasnt performing as well goes round to back windows and hello fine lines  wet the window straight pull and yeah no doubt. stomp off to get stand by unger hard soap window and sweet as so finish up a couple houses no problem. i am really glad i ordered more  that arrived today buy 6 get 1 free. oh free 1 didn't make the journey /emoticons/sad.png The bad boys are going to get checked out week end at my leisure

Norm the rubber killer lol

It works fine for me

Don't understand why people are having problems with it

I use razor and have for a long time

My last batch and only batch is shocking

I have had both pieces side by side and there is a def difference in stiffness

Also I ordered probably 5 week ago and couple week later they advertised the original razor so here is definitely something in it

norm ant the only one ive had loads of probs with them lines not lasting ect defo wont be buying any more lol ill stick to ettore and wagtail rubbers:thumbsup:

Not tried the wagtail rubber in a liquidatorMay be interesting
As long as it's the latest rubber Davey. I've tried the older stock in Liquidator and simply not enough slip. I must say I was pleasantly surprised when I tried a PG the other week. The rubber had excellent slip and I've heard that the formula has been tweaked in recent months.

I just bought a batch of eBay from WCW and was getting lines from the middle of the rubber as soon as it was put in, done this for 3 days and it's now went away . The very first razr rubber I got done that aswell

They do definitely work better once the edge wears a little to the angle you work
