I'm usually smoking 20 a day, but decided to buy a vape kit on Sunday. Since Sunday I've smoked 2 cigarettes. I went into the local vape shop and bought an Endura T22 for £35 and a bottle of juice. The juice is 2/3 gone but I've saved £30 on smokes. The ciggys I have smoked in the last few days have tasted rank, and my van smells like :turd: when I get in it.

Have I quit? I dunno? I've smoked on and off since I was 12. But at least I'm giving it a bash.

Gotta be better puffing on a douche flute than taking loads of smoke into your lungs.
douche flute, thats another good insult phrase worth remembring . "youre a furkin douche flute"

its also one that could be turned on its head ," hey that was a compliment, why dyou always hav to be so nasty we were only cleaning your windows"

Have I quit? I dunno?
No. You simply replaced one habit with another. Those vap machines look so ***. Sit on a bench in town for 10 min and watch people walking along grasping on to them for dear life like a child does a security blanket or a its favorite soft toy.

No actual real scientific examination of the contents, at least with a cigarette you know the damage you're doing.

I was a 2 pack a day man myself, had no will power for quitting, couldn't do it. Tried the gum, no good, tried the patch, nope. Tried electronic fags, battery would die whilst out so would have to buy a 10 pack just to tie me over, again no good.

Finally I went on the 'New Leaf' program on the Champix pills and in just 10 days I was off the fags, no will power involved, just couldnt be arsed to smoke anymore.

901 days as of today. Saved over £14'500 since I quit (didn't end up spending it on Vape kits instead)

I respect you trying but as I said to start you are replacing one habit with another.

I'd take my chances on the douche flute over cigarettes.

Good for you, keep it up! What will you depend the extra money on?

Exercise bike too, you may pile on the pounds if you stop completely.

When I quit, over a few years, I started by not taking tobacco to work.

Seemed to work for me. You moved in yet?

You'll just end up addicted to the vape the same way you were cigs. Maybe the flute is less harmful I dunno but it can't be good for you.

I tried numerous times to quit. Eventually over a period of weeks I weaned my self off cigs and onto lozenges. Only problem then was u was addicted to lozenges. In the end I managed to quit with willpower.

Relapsed once ola few years later and smoked for a few months but then manages to quit again.

The urge will never completely leave you I still get the scent when I pass people and fancy one

You will addicted to Vape. I moved from smoking to vaping last September and once you find the Vape groups on Facebook you then realise how big vaping is. I have gone from one addiction to another. I have got involved with vaping and the comments saying you don't know what's in the juice is rubbish if you do your research and also there is scientific proof it's as damaging as drinking a cup of coffee. Also passive vaping is also as dangerous as sitting next to someone drinking coffee. I'm guessing you guys who have started out vaping are hitting Vape shops for 12-18mg nicotine juice? Search for a subohm tank and drop down to 6mg. Drop me a message if you have any questions etc

13 years ago I kicked the habit cold turkey ( started smoking in primary school) I know it's not a ******* competition but I was a chain smoker probably be dead now if I still smoked, wife also stopped about 4/5 years ago using the champix tablets, still fancied a ciggie for a couple years afterwards but now can't stand the smell.

Would say it's was the hardest thing I have ever done tested my will power to the max giving up.

Good luck tuffers I found you got to really really wanna give up to stop once and for all.

Den.

I gave up for 6 weeks once..then the school holidays finished lol

I am gonna stop but still have the odd 1 now and then

I go through stages when i do or don't smoke but I do feel it if i go for a 5k as I really struggle..seeing as i am ex army and used to run 100 and 200m for london borough of barnet and ran miles boxing training 5k should be a breeze

I know i just hit 41 but 5k should still be a doddle

I put it down to the coffin nails

I'm struggling today /emoticons/sad.png, not smoked a ciggy for 2 days but I'm vaping like a mad man. Very light headed and feeling wobbly and weak. I know having a smoke is going to make me feel :turd: but I'm going to have to have one .

Don't do it, after a couple of weeks vaping the smell will start to turn you, well it did with me , my opinion is get a liquid called ice mint or ice blast, it's a very strong menthol taste and it hits the back of your throat like a cigarette , I found this to be the closest to a cigarette . Then as it takes its course and it eventually turns you try other liquids that you like

I find it very easy to give up..just need to decide i actually need to do it and I'll do it

That's if i don't get wound up by sneaky ******* russian customers

Had decided i was stopping saturday morning

This bird wound me up so much I stopped and bought some baccy so i could calm down a bit

I packed in smoking 28 years ago in them days the only thing available to help you quit was good old fashion will power.People said the first 2 weeks are the hardest then it gets easier, not me it took me 2 years before i totally lost the craving for a ***

Me too at least two years before the craving stop still the best thing I ever done.

Daveyboy smoking is a stressful situation actually adds extra stress as getting less oxygen in system because of inhaling the smoke and all its impurities I.e increases heart rate that's what a chemist once explained to me.

I know @Den

To be honest the **** i put in my body in my youth being a dedicated member of the rave scene and chemical generation the cigs shouldn't even touch the sides

The mental damage has already been done lol

We all have our crux to bear and mine seems to be the smokes at the mo..although I've not touched a jamaican roll up for a few years now

I used to joke that sometimes i had too much blood in my drugstream:rofl:

I started when I was 13 and smoked til the eve of my 40th birthday. I had promised the kids I would give up before I was 40. Man of my word. Went cold turkey. Been over 10 years now. Not even had a drag. Have put on 3 sone tho!!
