I bought a cheap one from B&Q and its completely useless. to be fair it was cheap and nasty but it keeps my hose from being a bundle of mess on the van...

but it keeps twisting where I connect it with my hoselock backpack, I have to unwind the hose first and then connect it up to the backpack hoselock connection and then go clean and this is time consuming and not ideal.

beside buying one for a overpriced hundred quid on the web what other one can I buy?

i use 2 diffrent ones, on of the overpriced £100 that you call them! 100m 8mm hose, worth every penny, pays for it self in the long run.

and this one from B&Q £19.95 holds my 60m 6mm hose with no problem, have mounted it to the side of the van and cut the bottom legs off to make it easy for my use.

at the end of the day, if you buy cheap thats what you get really

I agree and have learned the hard way so if your reading this and thinking of buying the cheapest one then trust me and DONT....

I have to say sometimes cheap is all people can get I wish j could of put thousands into my business but u couldn't so I budgeted I didn't buy **** but bought the cheapest u could find it's not always a bad thing if it earn you money that's fine with me, buy better when I make more

i had a hoselock hose reel, brought that 2nd hand and that lasted me 3 years! its just the way you treat them too, not just the item, if you dont look after your kit, not matter if you spend a little or a lot it wont last!
