Excelerator

Funny you ask on the 10" it worked fine but on the 14" I had to put a slight angle as to make it go into the corners but not quite as acute as yours in all honesty don't think having a more or less angle really matters any much difference just make sure the top of the bar is slightly longer than the bottom if that makes sense I think the main thing is not cutting sleeve after cutting the bar.1st reason I thought maybe the cut t bar could scratch painted frames.

2nd thought the sleeve would fray and shelf life reduced.
possible on both accounts.

i would agree and say to leave the sleeve now, after getting new ones and trying it, it works fine with just the t bar can down.

i havnt scratched anything with the t bar as the sleeve is still longer slightly and the squeegee channel itself stops the t bar getting to the edge

I wouldn't worry about scratching with a plastic tbar

My original modded 0 detailing channels were all metal and cut and bent like the liquidator tips

Scraped all the frames but never left any marks

Same as mr Bladz old channels

i guess yours is on the way dave mate? bob asked them to send me more sleeves and t bars for the combinator because i cut mine up to get them to work better, it works lovely as bob said, with the sleeve normal and just the t bar cut at the angle.
So you think Bobs is a better mod than yours Paul? Your you tube comment to me suggested differently. Also have Moerman now altered the t-bar or sleeve on the combiniator to get into the corners?

Being in contact with moerman already and also knowing a certain mr Hatt

It is for reviewing purposes like when i had the original liquidator from the prototype stage

well, his mod is half of my mod but works fine, it works fine with the sleeve cut also, it may be best to not cut the sleeve because then its covering the t bar and u dont have open holes in the sleeve, i can get into the top corners better with the sleeve cut but its still possible with sleeve intact, i will have to see, ive been using the sleeve intact and cut t bar for a couple of days now, ill give it a few more days before i decide.

i agree, a bit of plastic wont do anything

i wont be buying any of it-and not because theyre copycat products-altho im never in favour of copying thats not my reason

i can honestly say that non of the new moerman stuff looks like youd enjoy using it long term. used a liquidator several months never enjoyed the usage, hard to explain in words but anyone whose on the squeegee will get what i mean

its akin to writing using an ink pen over a biro ,the results look great but the biro wins hands down for day-in-day out enjoyable usage.

Paul l bought the combinator based on your review and modification (glad I did) a few weeks ago and modded it straight away. even though I have only used it on my own house, couples customers bungelows and few neighbours so not done the trials you have when I cut my t bar I explained to my missus if she could taper the sleeve on her sewing machine on by hand which she said yes was possible as to be honest I thought could have frayed and maybe loss the ability to hold as much water maybe over thinking on my behalf lol, just thought to myself try without the sleeve modification works spot on, my first time using the liquidator channel also my first having zero detailing love the tool.

Den.

Blinkin lost my end clip on my combinator today between houses, looked and looked, no where:mad:. I like the pad on the combinator, as I usually soap up frames with normal applicator.

Anyone on here have any thoughts, this guy says the pivot hits the deep frames.

I can confirm both. It's the blue lock pin hitting the deep frame that is fouling close out (being changed for final production run). Pad being so stiff flips forward if you turn too steeply although I'm finding as I've given it a hammering its softening up a bit and is a little more forgiving. I see the link has gone 'private' but I'm assuming it is Aaron of "Five Star" in OZ (latest victim to be sent to Wagtail Coventry by Willie (LOL can't have traitors in the camp now can we! :) )

I thought the guy that did the vid was English and living in England

reckon hes been told to go private cos it didnt work out for him
Playing guessing games again Boar? It was working. A couple of little niggles that I've experienced as well. Remember these are prototypes not the finished product. They will be addressed by this manufacturer as they do tend to listen to advice and feedback. A pleasant change I have to say.

It is Aaron and he is giving his honest opinion which he has been asked to do

Unlike wagtail who don't give a toss what people say is wrong with the tools as they won't change the issues anyway

dont tell me,youre another one who previously asked wagtail for a job? maybe you wanted to relocate but the guvnor would not listen . of course youll deny it,out of pride as much as anything . id get in quick if you now want to get into belgium

i find it funny how defensive some are getting over this new product. but what has it done for you?

im defensive over wagtails cos i know theyve played a considerable part in my business success, wagtails are basic tools any novice or experience worker can use to good effect . theyre pretty much bombproof too .i think i currently own about ten of their basic squeegees used acrossby my workers [each is possesive about their own personal wagtail] and they never wear out . what more can you want
