Hello all, new here and started up in march. Recently bought wfp though have good training with both wfp and pole.

My old boss was like mr miagi and taught me well, two and a half years down the line i'm passionate about my shine, my job, my round and my worksmanship based reputation.

I dont drive and have carried ladders too long so ive bought the new Unger Nlite/Facelift Bigboy backpack. Using a 6L DI filter as my sole water cleaner. I intend to build a pre softner to go before the DI then into a larger storage tank.

Using 25l bottles for now. Im having to buy a cage mesh turntable trolley to cart my kit/water. Using pole for ups, traditional for downs (with glass gleam 4/hard rubber). Im getting an aquastop and a 100-150litre tank for the flatbed trolley, which I will fit hose reel and a bucket/tool docks and clips for both wfp and traditional poles.

Advice appreciated, of any kind, from supplier tips to construction ideas. Thankyou.

Best thing you could do would be learn to drive and pass your test. In fact I would have made it a prioroty before starting up.

Unless your lucky enough there's no windys in your area good luck humping all that about for miles.

That said there's a local windy in my area who I sometimes see on a sunday morning at 7 o clock a good mile from where he lives carrying around his ladders n bucket. You would have to be dedicated that's for sure.

As for vision well I tried it and found no noticeable difference, some swear by it some say it's a placebo. Get a sample and make your own mind up.

You'll do ok, you've been on the glass for 2 1/2 years so you know what graft is needed. you'll work out your own way of running your business, we all have different goals, some want to smash the cash others work around family some want just a few days a week. whatever you decide if your determined you'll achieve it.

Driving is my next step. I use glass gleam 4 which some say makes no difference, but it stays wetter, works very well under pole-cleaned tops. And my wrists last longer with the difference of friction. If the vision soap has strengths I will try to find them and post back my findings as I get to grips with it. Theres a fair few cleaners in my area but im getting a good foot-in and with a decent bite of the pie in the town's commercial area. My standard is high and my price is competitive, so im holding well. Im sure my recent investment will pay off and get me that van all the sooner.

You'll be fine, but I wouldn't even bother starting before you are driving. Better to have a job that pays at least minimum wage so you can save up for stuff as starting up gets expensive.

Ive got all the trad tools I need, except a longer trad pole. And now am wfp equipped, this is a passion as well as a living. It is my hobby. I am living comfortably and have money to invest in equipment as needed. I can earn a good day and ive still got a lot of open streets on my doorstep, i'd say looking at the way ive mapped this town, and the density of work in canvassed streets so far, ive got space for another 10 days work, possibly up to 15 before a van is neccessary to reach further. But I would like a van long before then.

Fair enough. Good luck and welcome mate.

Howdie tommo.By the way @adamangler , if that windie came round here at 7am on a Sunday morning, his bucket would be rammed over his head!
Lol. I don't know what he cleans at that time but I've seen him about with his gear. I only know because I sometimes get up early to go fishing on a sunday. First time I saw him I thought wtf

If I get some early bird commercials you'd see me out that time. Used to be up 4am to go clean cardiff cinemas. Those escalators were a sweat-graft. But I wouldnt be out with a bucket 7am on a sunday.

100litres was a lot to pull out this morning. Going to go for 75 tomorrow. My first day with this trolley and im sure that it will get me my van faster.

Since taking this ive got a hosereel and fitted a rack to hold my poles, both trad and wfp. And a tarp fitted, rolled up along the other side ready to cover up in a few seconds if it rains. I will be properly fitting the hosereel on the back, once ive sorted a brace for it. View attachment 8121

After tugging that around... more like Mr potato head... arms on the floor. Still, im doing a lot of amino acids, bulk-ups (USN hardcore range) biotin and oil pulling with virgin pressed pure black cumin seed oil. That plus avoidance of fluoridated water, artificial foodstuff/processed trash should keep my body running under the extra strain.

at the moment i drink only bottled, but when ive an RO i will be drinking that. ive stopped getting migraines, feel more hydrated and less exhausted.

Isn't there a danger of removing the salts that also help prevent migraines? I agree it would be good to avoid large doses of fluoride but I read most normal water jug filters don't remove it. I suppose if the ro removed the salts you could add electrolytes back in, sans fluoride
