Help fitting Uni Valve to Gardiner pole

Stupid question probably but the delightful chaps at the WCW delivered my UNIVALVE today with no o clips and zero paperwork (helpful). I've also taken delivery of an SLX 22 Gardiner pole.

Am I right in pushing that into one end of the UV and the other into the regular pole hose?

Have attached a pic below before I go get the clips to clamp it shut.

Also, what's the recommended size for the clips?

Thanks guys

Looks good. The only thing to remember as I recall when fitting it was making sure the moving part of the univalve points to the bottom of the pole. I guess that's why they make it in red now. Makes it kinda obvious which end is which. /emoticons/biggrin.png

Looks like the univalve is going straight onto your main hose as opposed to another length of pole hose? If that's right it will be hard to detach when needed and make the pole abit heavier.

That's just for the example purposes. It will be fitted to the pole hose when I assemble it properly. Just that has a clip on it I need to remove so I couldn't show it as a complete connection /emoticons/smile.png

Don't put it on the wrong way round like me lol I was cursing the thing before realising.

Also ordered the wrong size clips

Looked at tubeless kit. Not something I need to worry about untill im using multiple poles, with largely differing min/max reach. Seems neat but wrapping the pole line properly can save drips.

The Gardiner Y dividers have a lock clip anyway so I don't think I need to bother clipping it so it doesn't pull away from looking at it...
Thats a nice Y split. I'd want to put an o clip on the line just to protect that from getting jerked constantly. Might cause some damage?

I'm off to the shops tomorrow to buy some clips so I'll have a tinker. The Gardiner Y dividers are their custom ones. Very nice little piece of engineering. Their double ones for 45cm brushes look awesome.

Can't wait to get this pole set for work next week. Feels so well made /emoticons/smile.png

give it a test run on your own windows...

ive just built the hose mounting on the back of my trolley, these little improvements help keep us keen /emoticons/smile.png

Yeah I will. These UNIVALVES don't want to come out of the hose once you push them in do they. Let's hope they don't break very easily! Modified my pole hose a bit and took the ez snap off the top so I just need to get the clips and it's good to go tomorrow. Win

Im about to fit exactly the same to the same - gardiners slx 22, but as far as I could make out from any instruction, I didnt need to cut off the ez snap and fit to the orange hose. I was gonna put a cut in the pole hose and do it that way. Is either way better than the other?
