Used them and was very happy with the result.

Think you need to be realistic with your expectations though.

If your exceptions are to have 10% wrong numbers or no number 50% of the round will be one offs or Ill ring you when i wont them doing again. Then you will be more than Happy.

If I was paying a company to canvas it be same rules as ones I employ myself

Hello, Thank you the comments.

The Clean Team - We are in communication with our clients and those that have a campaign booked, we seem to currently not recognise you or the name of your company, please email us at [email protected]

It has been a very busy time the past few days with the team completing a campaign, so it is a possibility that over past few days we may not of been able to answer a call.

Kind regards Sarah

Happy Canvassing

I think you will find thats %20 that wanted a one off LOL
How is a canvasser supposed to know that those who only wanted a one off actually only wanted a one off?

Have you never taken on a customer who says they want a regular clean yet only has one?

Hi all iv been speaking to Happy Canvassing and it appears that there is another company in the Plymouth Devon area trading as Happy Canvassers it is this company I'm having dealings with not happy canvassing I'll update everyone as I find out more info

Thank you for the communication Cleanteam. I was sure we had never heard of you or received any deposit from your company.

Please keep us updated with what happens.

Kind regards Sarah

haha

not used happy canvassing but this sounds like ever other canvasser ive used.

Its always the same, out of 50 custies you can expect 5 wrong/no numbers, another 10 will drop off before the first clean, another 10 will mess you about with payment, another few will be access through the house when you specifically said dont canvass me these. A ew more will be one offs. If you manage to have half left after 1 clean then youre dong well.

Ive come to the conclusion this is not really the canvassers fault mind, its just the nature of canvassing itself.

Ive had exactly the same when ive done my own, half of them dont last past the first clean because if they really wanted a regular window cleaner they are not hard to find, ask your neighbours or do a google search and you have one.

A lot will say yes on the door because they dont like to say no then try anything to get out of it, lost count of how many sons or brother in laws suddenly are going to clean there windows all of a sudden.

You do get some great work, but paying for canvassing is a LONG term investment not a short fix.

Exactly.

This is what I meant when I said having sensible expectations.

Its just not possible for someone to canvas £1000 of work and them ALL be perfect long term customers.

I think the problem is this. And I've learnt this the hard way.

I believe paying a canvasser should not be something you do when just starting out and you can't afford to lose the money.

When you a starting out and you don't have much spare money, spending say 2k on a canvasser for 1k of work which ends up being 500 of work after a few cleans feels like a kick in the teeth and a huge amount of money to lose.

On the other hand if you are established, have a pretty full round and plenty of money in the bank investing a couple of grand is no big deal. If it takes you 6 months to get the money back because you only end up with a few hundred in good ongoing work its no big deal and a sound long term investment to make.

Totally wrong way to look at things .. I already told u that if u say to someone u will clean there flithy windows .. They don't wanna wait weeks to get it done.. Max time is 3-4 days

I say it is a 60% success rate. With bout 35% drop out around 3 months 5 % drop after 1st ..

Not my experience

If they really want a regular cleaner they will happily wait a couple of weeks as long as you inform them.

The logic of cleaning them asap so they don't change their mind is flawed in that you are essentially tryng to get them done before they have chance to think about it which may explain why you getter a higher % of first cleans done and a larger drop % over time.

If they still want a cleaner a week or two after you first approached them then they really do want a window cleaner.

I've found the complete opposite, 90% of cancels come before the 1st clean when they've had chance to think after being pushed into it on the door. A few drop after the first clean but the vast majority who do 2-3 cleans will stay on
