Done a job today neighbour of existing customer 17 wooden Windows 1 front and 2 back doors and a conservatory hadn't been cleaned for at least 2 year they were really dirty anyway quoted her the other day agreed on a 4 weekly clean I explained by coming on my 4 weekly round I won't charge first clean etc, anyhow just had a txt saying how happy she is and can I put her on a 8 weekly clean and can I quote her for conny roof I just txted back stating by now going on a 8 weekly clean it will now be an extra £5 havnt heard anything back yet do you think I'm wrong and do you guys charge a little more for your 8 weekly cleans.

I'm always more for 8 weekly than 4.

Generally take a bit longer, therefore more labour n more pure.

Used to be 50% more than 4 weekly but I play it by each job now, sometimes just a cpl quid more sometime more, depends on windows n how dirty there going to get between cleans.

4 weekly or 8 weekly are the same price for me!
Kind of understand what you are saying only last week we agreed on terms of clean but then after the first clean literally hours after changed the boundaries I.e. I didn't charge first clean also I would hAve quoted a little more with 8 weekly clean in the first place, but before I gave the 8 weekly price she readily agreed to the 4 weekly price.

Take it on the chin mate. Lesson learnt.

U walked into that lol.
Maybe your right, I'm normally a good judge of character but only human and can make mistakes also she is a doctor and approach me this is the first time this as happened and sure it won't be the last you live a learn.

Did I read that right you don't charge for first cleans I'd knock that on the head straight away

This as worked a real treat for me I understand that everyone does business differently In the last three months I have nearly 100 customers and never canvassed, have leaflet dropped a few times 80% my customers have been through recommendation and great reviews on Facebook apart from today I havnt been caught out if you play the good guy the majority will respect and refer you to friends and family etc, there will always be individuals that will exploit this we all known, when I used to work for Shell, British Gas, Marathon oil on the rigs i have done so many courses on loss control on how to handle people for getting the best possible results out of them so far so good hopefully this will help me kept long term customers only time will tell.

No I would say 100% white British.
go with your gut feeling. if you sense shes rubbish,a messer , by not replying to your text, then dont ever return and feel a little bit bitter over it but youll get over it.

Yep your dead right, already over it.

why loose a potentional customer over a 5'er? 4 or 8 weeks takes same time to clean, if you didnt mention that 8 weekly cost more i think you should just have let it go, its peanuts.

Just a little annoyed but not a great deal annoyed that she agreed a deal then changed the parameters immediately after she saw what a great job she got, to be honest I think I will drop her anyway only want good customers people that are good to there word, touch wood All my customers have been great so far.

But she might end up as your best customer who knows? Dumping her because she changes mind like every ppl Do once in a while, is just Not professional to me.
