Worth getting a small 6 inch squeegee to scrape all the water off the sill before going over with sill cloths? Reduce going through as many sill cloths and getting them soaked with water?

Also, is ok to dry my unger microfiber cloths for detailing in a tumble dryer or do they need to be air dried? Scrims and sill cloths can be machine dried, can't they?

I do wfp and trad, but either way leaves lots of water on the sills.

I use a modded 5" squeegee for sills when wfp (cut down from 12" liquidator prototype i had for ages)

I don't wipe with cloth after just squeegee off if the sill is bitty

When tradding i use whatever squeegee i have in my hand unless dirty first clean and usually don't need to use a cloth then either

I dry mine in dryer but not on hot with microfibre

I contacted a microfibre manufacturer some time ago about washing and drying them. They said Not to tumble dry them.

I've been tumble drying them for years

As long as it isn't on hot they are fine

The heat can ruin the microfibres

When you're carrying the wfp brush, do you keep the squeegee in back pocket with a rag? I really need to start doing this.

I have an unger pouch on a belt and carry it in there

Any squeegee will do for sills it's just that i only use liquidators nowadays

Surely squeegeeing the sill with whatever squeegee your using traditional isn't the best for the rubber Davy

I've done it for years mate and it don't hurt

Especially now i use razr as it doesn't wear

I wouldn't squeegee a filthy sill but maintenance cleans are ok

Check picking pauls vids on youtube he does it the same way

This is paul but i do it the same

Probably find a 4 inch better. Can still do narrow fanlights with that.

Mine is the width of an unger handle plus liquidator clips on the ends

Just guessing at 5" but can do all the top openers with it

You Can tumble dry micros on High power With no issuses, Been doing so With mine and they Are 1,5 year and easily go another 2 years

good scrim seem to last forever but haven't bought any for years so don't know what they are like now

tumble dry scrim they are less hard easier to hand than natural dry on line don't know why

paragon say you can tumble dry micro cloths but 60 deg heat i think

I noticed that with scrim. Think they detail better when airdryed.

Ok I will just order another old 5 or 6 inch squeegee from unger for sills then as an extra for my 6 inch unger squeegee and use old rubbers.
