Here is a quick video on the Magic Sponge and cleaning UPVC window frames. I know many of our established members are well aware of the power of the Magic Sponge so this really is more for our new chaps that may need a pointer on UPVC.

I will be working hard on adding new videos to my Youtube channel between now and the end of the year so please if you can think of anything I may be able to do a clip on to help you all out then just say so and I will see what I can do. Coming up later in the week something for the Trad crew as I have just been given a Moerman Combinator and the new Moerman Flick to try out. Hope you enjoy.

Nice video, I bought some cheap Chinese ones they fall apart after a few seconds of use, you get what you pay for I suppose.

They are supposed to fall apart @Den as they work

However are the chinese ones you have a slight blueish colour or the pure white ones

The blueish ones are a bit naff but the white are great

Use that with a quick spray of the old ubik and it will make short work of pretty much all staining on the frames

Thanks for the info as I have a hand sprayer with ubik in the van at all times, the ones I use are the white but were ridiculously cheap ten million for £2 lol

I always charge a first clean premium @1393jason.
I also explain to them why they will pay more for it. They never complain.
I have been thinking of doing this as I seem to be picking up a few new builds at the minute and they take an age. I am still trying to build my round at the min and did not want to put them off.

People will pay for quality Jason. If they wont then they are not the type of customer you want.

Those that choose service based on price can go elsewhere. There is no point having them as customer because as soon as the next windt offers £1 less you are out and he is straight in to a mint job without having to do a 1st clean.

Just had 10 magic sponges arrive in the post, £1.95 inc postage off ebay but they fall apart very quickly, did you say it was £1 for one Green, but I guess it lasts for a while?

Vielda ones are about a quid, two for a pound at pound land. Try for yourself as I can't see a difference in quality between the two and I have never used the eBay ones. It's a quid f#*#{]<~e kennyggg!?! [emoji41]

Yeah, kinda baffles me, £1 for 2 magic sponges, (I get the Flash ones) used two today to do a UPVC clean on 4 basic windows and two bays and two doors. Charged £85.00 so after my expense I only made £84 for the job. I must find a place to buy them cheaper! /emoticons/smile.png)

Thanks for the video Green. I might have got a bit carried away, and now have about 800 of these. Anyone got any other good uses (work wise) for these sponges? I'm thinking plastic guttering, but what else could I use them for?

You soon get through them

You can use loads on 1 job doing a conservatory valet
