While working at a largeish development of about 40 houses this week was approached by a new customer who asked if I could take him on I said yes but would have to come back sat as had run out of water.turn up on sat and windows are all done still wet go and knock to find out and he tells me he has paid my fellow worker I tell him I am on my own and he says I showed him your card and he said he worked for the same company and he charged him more as it was a first clean bit p###ed off.

Hopefully you've got him as a regular now after the other guy lied to him?

Wish someone would come and do my first cleans for me /emoticons/biggrin.png

I had a woman stop me in the street and ask me to add her to my list. She gave me her address and we agreed a price. She was a neighbor of another customer as it turned out which was good. Told her that I call every four weeks, which she was happy about and that I was due in her area in two weeks time. 'All settled then,' so I thought.

Turned up to find clean shiny windows. So I knocked.

'Oh,' she says, 'I couldn't wait, they were so bad. Saw a guy working over the road and grabbed him.'

I was glad I didn't do them as I got the impression I wouldn't have been paid.

Though I was frustrated, I'm glad in a way as her attitude toward our agreement gave me the impression she would have been a messer.

I would be going mad that someone out there has used your card to get the job, I would find out who it was and confront him and ask what he is playing at!
