:tmi::hiding:Well i had my lovelly Iguinal Hernia opp on Thurs. been 5 days now, i should be happy to laze around. But been advised that a 4 - 6 week recovery is the best option. Im dreading that. hopefully less time off.:swear:

Had one text yesterday asking when at hers, she had some garden work done and windows all dusty. i explained to her about my opperation and she says ohh i better get some one else then, i couldnt believe it. i felt like saying Pish off then. I told her i will try to get some one out to do some for me when im driving , hopefully next week. my Son. hes been out with me before so can do wfp. she seemed unsure i may sack her off./emoticons/angry.png( no compassion when you cant get to them asap. ive told a few customers and they understood. My Decent customers i can rely on.::):

Im thinking of getting some flyers printed and dropping off to let them know. Just incase some think you have packed inn

You should of let them know before you went for the op. I had a hernia opp last year and told everyone who i do the gardens for and had no problem. It was late October mind you so that helped. I was back in the saddle in under 4 weeks and I aint no spring chicken /emoticons/smile.png

Good luck, enjoy the rest /emoticons/smile.png

padman where did you have your hernia, have you had any problems since

some should be happy because they are saving money for that month.

i think it would be worse if it was near December. but its early yet. ill concentrate on my easiest and best customers first.

if any leave after years of custom i only hope they ask me to clean them again.

Its strange, but if you miss them for 2-3 weeks without letting them know your on hollidays etc, they may think you have packed in. I always say if i ever packed in i would let them know. Some customers you just want rid off. without just binning them with no reason.

cheers duncs, im getting sick of daytime tv now. id be best on a propper holliday, may look into it somewhere sunny & all inclusive. Not much walking , Sunbed & food & drink.

I once had 8 weeks off with a dislocated shoulder......had some cheap flyers printed telling everyone why I would be late and walked the round posting them......middle of Summer as well with beautiful weather....didn't lose one and got a tan to die for.
