Anyone got a clue they they smear in these mine is really stiff and I even fi d it hard turning it by hand

Put Vaseline around the rubber rings

if you look to the side you will see it can be adjusted by a allien key to required tension

Well today I whacked loads of Vaseline on it and it worked so well its now on my pole ready to try tomorrow

you have got a old tap then if it has not got a alien key on the side
