How to use Hypo?

I wonder would UBIK be good on a mossy roof ? Hypo is chlorine ( bleach ) so I worry it may discolour concrete roof tiles ...?

Hypo won't discolour roof have used it many times and allows the use of very low pressure washer to clean

could you please help,

I thought I would give this hypo a go, so I got some 14% and mix it 20-1 to be on safe side and then sprayed a few slabs in the corner of my garden left it 25 min then rinsed it off with the hose pipe but they didn't look any cleaner also they look a little orange whys that then ? I did wet the slabs first and they didn't dry out.

Sorry to hi jack the post but also ... When you treat roof would it be poss to use WFP on full blast rinsing only ?

Plus did you sell your setup eviestevie ?

yes mate it went yesterday to pure h20 in reading

Usually when the process is taking place ie the hypo working on lichens etc it will turn a orangey colour but when washed away there should be no affect

Natural stone however doesn't like any type of cleaner from acids to hypo

I just wonder the method you use to treat a roof - easiest option for me would be hypo in backpack then through SLX on full power rinse only

I wouldn't put hypo in anything I don't mind destroying. It eats away at seals etc pretty quickly. Constantly messes up the nozzles on my cheap sprayers.

you need sprayers with viton seals ie Ik sprayers or Gloria sprayers

Same applies when sealing a drive as the sealant bonds the plastic seals u p

So to apply Hypo to roof you Have to get up there with roof ladder ? (only sprayers I see are hands on jobs )

I've heard you can't use hypo on its own what do you guys find works with hypo as a mix or you just add water cheers

I have the 510T with Viton seals, I think most of their sprayers come in two options, one with Viton seals and one without.

I am trying to find an attachment to fit my Gloria sprayer so I can reach gutters from the ground but without much success at the moment.

Try 10-1 and try again, spray on leave 30 mins and wash off.

I bought some Morrisons thin bleach which is about 2% at 28p for 2 litres, haven't tried it yet but if it is any good will just use that!
