How Much Resin Do I Use?

S

Sphmk1

Hi everyone,I'm new to the wfp game,I'll run through what I've got

210ltr tank

Brodex pole

Border hose and reel

Shurflo 100 psi pump

Leisure battery

19ltr di vessel

I bought a 5ltr bag of resin and put it in the vessel,my reading is 085? Is it because there isn't enough resin in the vessel? All of my stuff is new so its not contaminated with anything! Any help would be greatly appreciated

Cheers,Sean

I'm not that up on wfp but I would defiantly say not enough resin. I use 2 4.5 litre di's & fill them with just under 5 litres of resin. Your only filling a quarter of your di unit so I would imagine 3 quarters of you water ain't going through resin. But don't take my word for it & am sure the experts will be a long to help soon.

Deffo, not enough resin. I use 30% of a 25L bag of resin to fill an 11L vessel. So that's approx 8L of resin for an 11L vessel. You have used 5L in a 19L vessel. You are probably 60% too short of resin.

Not enough resin in there. Fill to about 3" from the top add a little water and carefully put the feed pipe back in until you can screw the top back on. Now connect the IN and OUT the right way, and take a sample.

doesnt matter how much resin is in there as long as it is over the bell at the end, as water comes out of the top of and goes up the pipe inside, using that amount of resin will be used up in about 8 days,

Hi,

Could you suggest the best place to purchase the resin from and which brand etc please ??

Cheers, David.

or if you know what your doing you can fill it without rmoveing the feed pipe , pull it apart , stick some tape over the end and off you go

Noddy, do you keep your resin in the bag and tie the top, or in an air tight pot? (I have a bucket type container and lid that used to have fence stain in it, I'm considering putting my resin in that). What do you do? /emoticons/smile.png

stev we use it that fast I just tie the top of the bag mate , a bag only lasts use a round 3 weeks depending on the work load , if I was keeping it longer then a air tight bucket would be needed , you can get these from boot sale for a quid normaly come from pizza shops as they buy the mayo in tubs like these 5l/10litles or like you in a fence tub
